I like Joe Allen but he's time here has been very underwhelming. He has been disrupted by injuries and found himself the odd man out in various systems. I think he'll flourish again at a new club.
He did enjoy a nice run of games in the season we nearly won the league. I'll wish him well elsewhere.

In the past he has struggled to impose himself on matches. Moving the ball around neatly in a largely possession orientated side is never going to win you much in the way of plaudits. In recent weeks we have seen a greater willingness to get forward and I thought he had a decent and underappreciated performance in the Europa this week. He was central to our best attacking play, which is the first time that's been typed about him in a red shirt.
That gives me a bit of belief in him, however if he's struggling to get into the side with Herderson out injured then you have to say his days look numbered. I hope he can step up and turn it around because he does have talent, but it might just be too little, too late.
