I think it's just his general revenge on the world. Since he left us he's tried to be a manager and failed. He's tried to be a coach and failed. He's tried to be a broadcaster and everybody but the BBC knows he's failed. He's tried to be a husband and failed. He's tried to be a feckin Englishman and failed. At times he's tried to do something about his appearance but invariably ends up looking like a bloodhound whose face lost an argument with a bus. I'd call him a nomark but that'd be an insult to nomarks.

I feel sorry for Lawrenson, i dont actually think he goes out of his way to be so completely unsympathetic but i do think he suffers from the confluence of two rather unfortunate character traits, firstly he is pragmatic and dry and likes to speak his mind and secondly, perhaps more crucially, he is an arrogant vein prick.

I genuinely dont think he knows he is a cunt.
