Adam Lallana

£25m is too high IMO. I'd have walked away at £20m. Looks like liverpool want it done before the world cup starts. At least we'll know soon and we can move onto other targets. Southampton are having a laugh if they think they'll get £30m for him.

25m is the maximum we should offer. We're the only serious bidders, and likely the only ones willing to go so high, so if they stall over this bid, walk away, watch them shite it, and bid 20m

Rooney's a lazy bastard in that clip. Just in the first 50 seconds of the clip alone, you could see how he didn't bother to move for a pass from Lallana, and on another occasion, how he didn't make a diagonal run when he should've, which would've either resulted in an opportunity for a sliding pass from Lallana, or pulled a defender away from Sturridge instead of allowing the opponent to sink back to help guard against Sturridge.

So we overpaid for Lambert under the cross my heart and hope to die promise they would sort us out with a good price. The moment Lambert is agreed..... £30m please. Problem?

Fuck me.

Haven't we told them £25 mill.is our bottom line though?

Which is £5m more than he is worth, not to mention the Lambert related discount which (to Ian Ayre's great surprise) did not materialise.

At least they are pretty good players, but it'd be nice not to get bent over in the process.

I don't believe this for a second.

We couldn't possibly be so stupid.

£20m was my limit. But to southampton they are losing the heart of their team. Southampton fans look at lallana the same way we look at gerrard. So yes there is a premium that is going to be paid unfortunately.

They probably want him to put in a transfer request. Makes it easier for the club when selling their captain as the fans dont want him to leave.

Is agree that 25 is high. And I can't see many clubs paying that. But he seems to be the sort of player that w I understand really fit into out way of play quickly. One that is used to the prem too. So maybe 25 isn't too.high after all. It's hard to say until he's signed and starts playing. If he kicks ass from the off, well all be saying how he's suddenly worth 35 etc etc.

I think we've done well if this deal goes ahead, we offered our take it or leave it price yes it's a little overpriced but we will be getting a fantastic player if it's completed.

Sky Sports News understands that Cesc Fabregas is set to leave Barcelona this summer, with a return to the Premier League his preferred option.
Barcelona are willing to sell the Spain midfielder as he does not figure in their plans for next season.
It is understood that Fabregas has a £30million release clause written into his contract.

would you add 5m and go for fabregas instead ? ( If true of course )

Fàbregas would want 2x Lallana's wages, but hey if were gonna make a "marque" signing, Fàbregas can be it!

@blogsaintsfc: Unconfirmed report that #saintsfc have accepted a £25m offer from Liverpool for Lallana. With a L'pool player also part of the deal.
