Lucas has to be worth at least £8m. So we'd be paying £33m for Lallana. Which would be a fucking disaster.

I think 25m is the full value of the deal with Lucas included so it's only about 17m cash. 25m plus Lucas would make the deal worth 33m at least.

No, I think Fabregas would fill exactly the same role as Lallana – an attacking, goal-scoring CM. He plays almost like a striker in Barca, whereas Can plays DM most of the time. Would I pay £5M extra and double the wages to get Fabregas instead to Lallana? Yes, I would.
Fabregas solves more of our issues than Lallana does.
Thats of course taking nothing away from Lallana's ability. He has goals in him, and Coutinho still has a way to go before he develops his all round game to consistently play that AM role.
You give us a midfield trio of Gerrard, Fabregas and Coutinho and its stronger than with Henderson playing in that 'creative' CM spot. Especially when it comes to Park the bus teams where you need that creative spark coming from your players behind the forward line.

In fact, why not scrap all of our carefully planned transfer strategy and just pay whatever Barca asks for both Sanchez and Fabregas, if they are really both available? Then buy Lovren or another good, intelligent CB and close up the shop for the summer. That's cos andros Townsend is fucking shite (by premiership standards). He'd make a good championship player or maybe a lower table Premiership team player at best.
