Adam Lallana

Anything is possible now. We have a huge input of cash by finishing 2nd, getting into CL group stages, new sponsorship. We are a hugely better proposition to come to than we've been since 2009. We need another top striker. A winger, a new defensive mid, a top Cb and a top full back. Oh and a better keeper please.
Lose Cissokho, Moses, Aspas, Alberto. Promote the best of the youngsters (Ibe etc) Bring back Borini and Wisdom. We need a bigger, better squad because we're going to be all over every competition next year.

If we are serious about signing Lallana, this probably means Suso will not be brought back to the team next season. They play the same range of positions and offer similar qualities – but Lallana is better. Suso will either be sold or go on another loan.

If that's the case, then a sale is more likely as I think he's in the last year of his contract. Teixeira's contract apparently runs out in June this year (as does Jack Dunn's)! Well, unless the data in transfermarkt is wrong.

I can see Suso being given a new contract. Suso can play in various positions but obviously he is one for the future. No way will he be sold and i don't think he'll go on loan either as we will have so many games to play next season.

Hope Tex gets a new contract but he will need loaning next season, somewhere like Swansea would be ideal, wouldn't be suprised to see a player or 2 of ours getting loaned there tbh, Rodgers doing Monk and his old club a favour whilst it helps us develop 1 or 2 of our younger players, win win situation.

He's a very Rodgers type of player and I think it's him who has identified this signing rather than anyone else. That gives me confidence.

The fact that Lallana is fast proving himself one of the best players in the country helps, too. I think we're the right club for him and he's right for us.

Modod, I've already mentioned several times in this thread that he's fucking quality and I rate him.

What else do you need?
A three year warrantee.
Seriously though, I know that he's good I just hope he lives up to that fee.

In 6/9/12 months time there won't be one debate on this site about his fee. It'll just be a given that he's a fucking seriously good footballer.

He's a good player, but this deal is not without its risks. Overall, I'm happy if we sign him - just as long as he's not the marquee signing of the summer.

Kewell, litmanen, smicer were all good ball players that for varying reasons didn't cut it at Anfield so I can see why some are a little cautious at that price.

Kewell had a history of injuries when he joined.
Litmanen was in his thirties and had the worst knees in football.
And most of us had never heard of Smicer before he signed.

Not really the best comparisons.

The amount of money should be the only concern people have. He's technically really good, still with his best years ahead of him, used to the Premier League, used to a possession-based style of football and will add quality to our side.

Lol. We can't spend 20m on an exciting prem player but sure we can spunk 15m + on some Ukrainian or fucking Armenian

I get it, there's a stigma surrounding English players regarding their price but quality is quality, ultimately.

He's a good player and importantly, lower risk than some 'worldie' in eastern Europe

Innit. I wouldn't want to up our bid too much TBH. £22 mill.maybe and that would be it, especially as we have other positions to cover as well.
