Evra had a really rough time in England initially. Do you not remember what Gerrard did to him?

I guess the difference there is that Evra's talent was well documented. I'm much more suspicious of Allen. Bar a few games at the start of the season he's looked lightweight, poor in possession and I'm sad to say, out of his depth.

So assuming this is all just some awkward period of adjustment or whatever, what can we look forward to at the end of it? What is he going to offer the team and how will it complement the other players we have?

Offer up some hope.
