I never get very much work completed on the anniversaries. I find myself reliving what I witnessed and endured and thinking about my friend, David Mather, and all of the lads and girls who lost their lives on a day when we should have been roaring Kenny's Liverpool on to the Cup Final.
This year is different though. Not only did Hillsborough have a dramatic effect on my teenage years, two years later it lost my club the man who was my hero from the age of 7. Kenny's return caused a significant increase in what is right with my world and the position of Liverpool manager is exactly where he is meant to be.
A great player, a great manager and a great man. A man more than worthy of being Knighted unlike that drunken piece of trash from down the East Lancs Road. Unlike the Liverpool board, I see absolutely no reason to "wait and see".
