All we need to see is a show of the teeth. Buck-toothed and he's signed.

U23s won 2-0 against Everton earlier today. Goals by Lennon & Wilson.

Left out Ings, Alexendar Arnold, Ejaria & Stewart out of the squad most likely for the league cup match on Tuesday. Sakho & Illori both played

Joe Gomez might join Huddersfield in January to get some match fitness.

[article]Huddersfield Town head coach David Wagner raised his eyebrows at the mention of interest in Liverpool defender Joe Gomez.

A national newspaper report suggested the German head coach was keen to add the 19-year-old to his squad on loan in January.

Gomez has been sidelined for a year after suffering an ACL injury whilst in action for England Under 21s.

Versatile Gomez, who can play anywhere in the back line, took part in his first full session since his injury at Melwood - Liverpool’s training ground - this week, and Town were said to be keeping an eye on his progress as he looks to become match fit.

Wagner indicated that was news to him.

“It was mentioned to me that this has been reported, but this was the first thing I heard of it,” said Wagner.

“I know he is a Liverpool player and he was injured a very long time ago, but I am not sure if he is back in training at the moment.

“I do know he is a big mate of Kasey Palmer, but he is a Liverpool player.”

[article]:IVERPOOL have reportedly offered a trial to Wisla Krakow starlet Bartosz Matoga.

The 15-year-old came to the Merseyside giants’ attention having shone at a recent youth tournament.

And his performances were recognised with the ‘Best Goalkeeper’ award.

He’ll now head to Anfield for a nine-day spell in a bid to earn a Reds deal.

Liverpool academy chief Alex Inglethorpe, who recently ran the rule over Uruguayan prospect Agustin Davila, will likely play a key role in deciding Matoga’s fate.

Should the stopper head to England, he’ll link up with the 18-time top flight champions’ youth setup and compete with the likes of Shamal George to make his way into Jurgen Klopp’s first-team picture.

He’ll also follow in the footsteps of fellow Pole Jerzy Dudek if he goes on to sign for the club.

The Rybnik-born ace spent six years with Liverpool before joining Real Madrid on a free transfer in 2007.

And he’s fondly remembered by fans for playing a key role in their fifth European Cup triumph.

Dudek denied Andriy Shevchenko in extra-time before saving penalties from the AC Milan legend and Andrea Pirlo in the resulting shoot-out.

[article]Liverpool are reportedly keeping a close eye on the Barcelona B-team ahead of making a raid for the most promising starlets coming out of La Masia. Spanish publication Sport claims Reds scout Kiko Espinar has been a regular presence at recent matches featuring the Catalan reserves, as Jurgen Klopp has designs on some of their hottest prospects.

The Barcelona academy is one of the most highly regarded in European football and has produced current Nou Camp first-teamers such as Lionel Messi, Andres Iniesta, Sergio Busquets or Sergi Roberto.

However, the Catalan club were forced to make a major summer overhaul to their second team during last summer following a couple of poor campaigns. Having been relegated from the second division in the 2014-2015 season, they ended in a disappointing 11th position in Spanish Second Division B (Spanish football's third tier) last year.

Barcelona subsequently made a number of new additions to bolster the squad
, such as Alberto Varo, Jose Antonio Martínez, Jesús Alfaro, Ignacio Abeledo, Marc Cardona, 'Nili' Perdomoor and Marlon Santos.

The revolution has paid off as the Catalan reserves are now currently leading their league following an impressive start to the campaign, having lost only three games in the first 11 of the season.

Barcelona manager Luis Enrique has looked to some of these players to help address the injury situation at the Nou Camp. Marlon, Nili and 18-year-old Carles Aleña, who is said to be the biggest jewel of the second team, have all been included in the first-team squad for the Champions League clash with Manchester City on Tuesday (1 November), having already made the team in the weekend victory over Granada.

Last week Sport said Barcelona were expected to complete the purchase of Marlon Santos from Fluminense before the end of the year as he is currently on loan at the Nou Camp.

But now the Catalan publication claims that the impressive campaign of Marlon and his Barcelona B teammates has attracted the attention of Liverpool.

Mentioned that AC Milan are tracking Hajduk Split's 19 yr old Croatian midfielder Toma Basic and that we are interested too.

He may be impressing on the field, but off the field:

Barcelona's Marlon forgets passport ahead of Manchester City game

Barcelona have confirmed to ESPN FC that defender Marlon Santos forgot his passport and was unable to travel with the team for Tuesday's Champions League game at Manchester City.

The club said Brazilian centre-back Marlon had returned home and would catch a regular flight from El Prat airport to Manchester later on Monday.

Luis Enrique and the rest of the Blaugrana players continued with their journey to England where they will train at City's training base before the game.

Marlon is one of three Barca B players included in a 20-man squad due to injuries to fellow defenders Gerard Pique, Jeremy Mathieu and Jordi Alba.

Nili and Carles Alena are the other two youngsters called up for the game. All three were unused substitutes in the win over Granada on Saturday.

Marlon, 21, is on a season-long loan from Fluminense and impressed when forming part of the first team in preseason.

He played well in last week's Catalan Super Cup loss to Espanyol and the Granada game was his first with the first team in La Liga.

The trip to City, therefore, was his first away game as part of Luis Enrique's squad for a competitive match.

[article]Liverpool remain keen on signing Ipswich teenager Andre Dozzell.

The 17-year-old son of former Ipswich and Spurs midfielder Jason, interested the Anfield giants last summer, but opted to stay on at Portman Road under boss Mick McCarthy.

However, the England U16 international has been restricted to just one first team outing for the Championship club this season — and even that saw him play just the first 45 minutes of their surprise EFL Cup defeat to fourth-tier Stevenage in August.

The Reds are now considering a £2million bid.

Like his father, Andre made a goal-scoring debut for Ipswich as a 16-year-old.[/article]

His debut goal at 4:52 min.

[article]Liverpool have joined the list of clubs tracking Hull City teenager Josh Tymon, sources close to the Merseyside club have told ESPN FC.

Tymon, 17, broke into the Hull side last season, making his debut in the FA Cup fourth-round win over Bury at the age of 16, while he also started the fifth-round clash against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium as Hull drew 0-0.

His performance against Arsenal alerted Arsene Wenger, who has been keeping tabs on his progress ever since, while Tottenham Hotspur and Everton are also admirers of the England under-17 international.

Tymon has started two games for Hull this season in the EFL Cup and sources have told ESPN FC that scouts from Liverpool watched the left-back in action in last week's 2-1 win over Bristol City.

Liverpool are looking to bolster their options at left-back, with James Milner being used in the position so far this season, and they are now actively monitoring Tymon's situation at Hull.

Hull are desperate to keep hold of Tymon but have yet to tie down the teenager to a professional contract.[/article]

Arnold who scored twice against Welsh (including 1 from the penalty spot) has given England U19 the lead against Greece U19 - via penalty (again!). Designated penalty taker for the future?

Meanwhile, Woodburn just equalised for Wales U19 against Luxembourg U19.

Nice to see the lads doing well at various levels/tournaments.

Drew 3-3 having missed two penalties and with united down to 10 men for the last few mins

Very impressive young lad. Poland has a reputation of a "Goalkeeper country"; he looks like another major goalkeeping talent from there. Quickly becoming one of our hottest prospects.

On an unrelated note, did you see that United U23 player at 0:10? Looks and runs exactly like a girl.

Yeah I've heard good things about Grabara or something like that. Looks like a great prospect. Mind you that Hungarian keeper (not Bogdan) also looked great for the reserves. Oh yeah, Gulasci´.

Is it true that we only have one academy graduate, who wasn't bought, in the premiership?

Martin Kelly.

He is now playing for the league leaders in Germany (RB Leipzig). Not too shabby...
