If Raheem is good enough to be given a chance to play with the first team, so is Eccleston, Suso and Adorjan.

HT LFC 2 - Villa 0. A bit unfair maybe on Villa, but we've been pretty good and improved after the first goal. Wisdom has been very strong and composed in defence, and even managed a Hansen-like run into the opposition half. Sterling hasn't had much service, especially in the latter part of the half, but he's had a shot and a couple of lively runs. Suso got into the game midway through the half and was rewarded for getting into the area when his chance came. Delighted for Eccleston - a big chance for him tonight and he's working hard to impress. Adorjan, who I really like, isn't getting much room so far and has been fairly subdued, even though he's stronger this season and a bit more aggressive.

Second half. Nice layoff from Adorjan, Sterling runs into the area, shoots butthe keeper saves. Then McLoughlin has a great run down the left wing, gets into the area, lays it off to Eccleston, who hits the post and Mcloughlin nets the rebound. 3-0!
