But if Enrique is injured then Johnson over on the left is the right choice.

if enrique doesn't make it I'd rather johnson stayed right and kelly moved left as I think bale's pace will roast kelly alive.

Kelly is as quick as Johnson...the difference is not that much in any case. Kelly has generally been the better defender.

In a race I'd have my money on Kelly. And as Bale switches flanks during a game it doesn't matter. Kelly will have to face him in all probability whether on right or left.

some of the grief johnson gets on this site is difficult to fathom. He is number 1 for england. Number 1 for kenny. We have one of the best defences in the league and Johnson is integral to that. Kelly is good but johnson is number 1 for a reason - he's better.
