He really is. He has excellent technical ability and frightens the opponent's defence as much as, or more than, any player in our squad bar Suarez. It's defensively he can occasionally go AWOL. I'd love to see him played at RM fir a few matches just to settle that argument once and for all.

Jesus Froggy, exaggeration aplenty.
This brilliant attacking fullback has scored a mammoth 6 goals for us. An average of what? 2 a season.
He frightens me, for all the wrong reasons.

Come on Mark, now who's exaggerating??
He's been fantastic for us; as I said he's not world class (depending on your definition of world class) and he certainly doesn't have the pace to match Bale - nobody from Anfield does. However, he really knows how to get forward, has got good pace, can carry the ball well and much better than many want to give him credit for.
As said I don't think there's much wrong with Bales game but one weakness way to minimise his effectiveness is to push him back with constant forays forward. His running and power is easier to handle when he's coming from deep. Johnson is by far the best equipped player in our squad to manage this.

Johnson does have the pace to match Bale, I know Bale is shit quick but Johnson isn't exactly slow. I hope Spurs do try and focus on Johnson like everyone is expecting because its a move we'll surely be expecting and I can't see it working as effectively as they'll hope.

I know Johnson is quick; not as fast as Enrique or Bellamy but he's very quick. Fact remains, however, that none of them have the power running of Bale. His change of pace and continuous acceleration would be too much for Johnson unless he's coming from deep.

Whilst Bale is quicker and a powerful runner, I dont think its enough to say Johnson wouldn't be able to handle it as I think for the most part Johnson is quick enough to keep up with him, the only time I don't think he'd be able to is if he gets a run on him in a counter attack or something like that, so we'll have to make damn sure dam we don't like that happen.
