There is absolutely nothing wrong with Liverpool being owned by another American company, if those Americans understand such a unique business and provide the right sort of leadership for it.

And right now, where the current situation is becoming unhealthy for everyone and perhaps even for the long term future of the club, positive leadership is required more than ever.

What John Henry and Tom Werner must ask themselves right now, is what would the previous regime have done? Then they should do exactly the opposite.

Hicks and Gillett would have let this situation drift, would have let the rumour and innuendo rise to intolerable levels until it damaged the very fabric of the club. That must not be allowed to happen, and the first step must be to put a Chief Executive in place immediately to provide direction at a crucial time.

NESV is about winning.

This season we won twice against Bolton and a relegation spot. We just cant wait for next season!

Insig, I really thought you were taking the piss with this, it's been three months mate. Give it up.

Yeah they need to pull their fingers out now more than ever, but quit with the "they've failed, we're doomed" posts, the transfer window has just opened and hopefully the old duffer will be on his ear this week.

It is a bit tiresome. Anyway he'll be gone before 'this week'. I think NESV wanted to identify the right manager and hoped Hodgson could see us through the season. They now know thats unrealistic. I think he's gone and a temporary manager will take over.

Agreed. It's really expensive to sack manager after manager, and we can't afford it.

I think they didn't really see the point in a transitional appointment, given that it's clear we aren't going to make 4th anyway. But with the threat of relegation, and with Hodgson damaging the club, especially financially, I think they've had to reassess their plans.

He's not here on Sunday.

I think I shall draw the line here. It is not time to turn on the new owners.... yet.

I admire that the yanks want remain in the shadows, do things behind closed doors, try and give the club a sense of stability and calm at board level, but the truth is they didn't hire roy and none of the blame associated with roy's appointment reflects on them.

they need to get rid of roy because he takes us down.

I think the main crux is that they havent a clue who'd be a top appointment that's available now.

WHich is why they thought the face-rubber would at least keep us stable, if not spectacular.

It's amazing though how such an incompetent manager has so much support in the media.

They're all just ecstatic he's leading us into relegation, probably.

We also need to bear in mind that even a top manager is going to have problems; make no mistake, we have a weak squad.

Simple... Bring back Rafa for the interim..

Short term contract till the end of the season.. He know's the players better than anyone else..

He cannot do much worse, put it that way

I do think the owners need to say something to clear the air.

A dignified silence is going to do nothing to quell the noise elsewhere.

They must make us aware that they understand the seriousness of the situation at the very least.

The 'we don't really understand but we're quick learners' schtick is not going to make anybody feel better only engender real fear that we're adrift.

I hate all this 'We have a weak Squad'.

Look at the table and tell me all this SHITE have a better Squad than us, we have a WEAK MANAGER.

Rafa is never going to accept it.

The Beebs reports that NESV are now concidering getting rid (which is the same speculations we have read all over for the last weeks). This is fucking annoying. WHat is there to concider? Take the man and the millions who follows the club out of this abvious misery and do it NOW! Not tonight, not tomorrow. NOW. There is a time to act, and there is a time to hide. The silence and hiding is beyond belief!

Yeah. It took them 3 months to do as I told them to. Lots of people said "Give them time to find their man", while I told them Kenny is the only man. 5 points from the bottom and in the run of 3 defeats in 5 matches they say "We are proud to present Kenny".

So who should hide their head in shame?

Fergie having a dig?

Ferguson said: “Managers don’t get the time, the money or the breaks and when they lose a few games they’re gone. It’s unbelievable.

“Why did Liverpool take on Roy Hodgson? For his experience. He has managed Inter Milan twice. He has managed the Swiss national side. He took Fulham to the final of the Europa League. So this is all his fault?

“You have people running clubs now who don’t have any association with the game.â€

Of course he'd prefer Roy. You know you're in trouble when he backs up your (ex) manager. That was the case too with Rafa last season, no?

Yes if Fergie hates our manager that's a good sign. You can be sure Kenny would have replied in defence of Torres after the last game.

Well, fergie. During your reign at Manchester Roy have been sacked twice by Inter, by Udinese, by Blackburn and now by Liverpool. Hos biggest experience is to explain another defeat in the press. The money he had he spunked on Poulsen and Konchesky. So while I see why you prefer him at Liverpool you can fuck off and start preparing todays abuse toward Howard Webb.
