WWIII Return of the Ruskie

Putin is clearly mentally unstable , meanwhile Biden is clearly knee deep in dementia or similar...FFS

usa were against the pipes
it smells of them

OK, they were definitely against the pipeline, but when was the last time the US did this kind of act of sabotage? Seems too petty for a superpower and easy to backfire if this is proven. It’s also curious this happened on the day new Norway to Poland gas pipeline has opened…

I don't get what Russia would gain from this. I think the Irish did it
It's no coincidence that Russia is losing money. Not just from NS1 and the mothballed NS1. But the pipeline from Norway to Poland.

They can't openly attack that pipeline. It would be an attack on a nato member.

However if somehow they get the world thinking that NS1 and NS2 were attacked first.....

It smells to me like Russia.

Oh, I think I’m starting to understand what’s the play here…

Like Russia haven't been scoping out cables for years..
Like a world leader sits around watching Fox news and figures his next move based on what Tucker Carlson suggests..wait only an idiot would do that.

Also
Biden said Nord would be no longer if Russia attacked
Russia attacks
Nord is sabotaged
Politician even says thanks yanks

But it defo wasn't USA?

Erdogan has been a bit of a cunt lately, even more than usual. I really hope he doesn't invade Greece.

Everything is a lot more worrying these days.

US is the one who stands to gain I would say, contrary to Russia here.
It is indeed a pretty bold move, perhaps cutting off the money source, and banking on a rash response that means war rolls on/Russia implodes?

The MP who said thanks was Polish.
The new pipe runs from Norway to Poland
Poland is now the new gas hub of Europe
Poland hates Russia
Poland hates Germany
Hnmnnn

Transfer deadline day, Russian-style. "For the 2022-23 season we have acquired parts of Zaporizhia and Kherson, our biggest pair of acquisitions since Abkhazia in 2008. Unfortunately we couldn't also get Estonia and a slice of Finland, but there is always next year."

Is there any proof of this so called referendum fraud?

Yeah there's hundreds of affidavits from random Italian lawyers acknowledging they saw putin taking out a whole load of ballots.
Crazy stuff. Must be real

Smells like a Big Lie to me. I for one stand for democracy, these people have democratically chosen to unite with their motherland, and their will must be done, there must be a smooth and peaceful transition of power. If any domestic terrorists seek to undermine democracy and resort to violence, then they ought to be punished to the full extent of the martial law.

Sure. They can conduct UN observed referendum if they have nothing to hide. If they don't trust UN to be impartial then they can vacate the permanent membership on the security council. You can't have your cake and eat it too.

It's over. Putin signed the papers and gave his inaugural address to the people. He talked about the division and evils of the far west, and spoke about his responsibility to defend freedom and coming together for everyday people suffering from the food and energy crises. It was a welcome change to the hateful rhetoric directed in the opposite direction by far western leaders.

Words matter. They're important.

I do think that in a fairly held referendum, Luhansk would probably vote to join Russia, by a slim margin, Donetsk would be close, but favouring Ukraine and Kherson and Zaph would stay with Ukraine. Crimea would join Russia.

It's like when Klopp spoke and we instantly qualified for the Champions League final in Istanbul.

The roots of the current tragic mess lie here. At one stage Ukraine had a government whose pro-Russia policies reassured the majorities in those areas you identify above and, in the process, kept the lid on Putin's warmongering but alienated a majority of its own population enough to get itself overthrown. That government - crucial point, this - had been democratically elected. so the pro-Russian majority areas will have seen that as a direct attack on their democratic rights. The West also grossly mishandled the whole thing when EU representatives joined the victorious rebels in the streets to celebrate the overthrow of the previous government. That was always going to risk provoking Russian intervention. Nothing, NOTHING excuses what Putin's been doing since, but it goes some way towards explaining it.
