Rooney was absolutely superb from 35th min until the end. Deserved MOM.

Gerrard, baines and Townsend also excellent.

Fucking made up, well done England. Proud out captain is leading his country at a World Cup and even more proud that Scousers won the game tonight.

Fowler was having a pop at Butcher on twitter. Something to do with Butcher slamming Gerrard???

Anyone got a gif of Gerrard's goal btw? Please and thanks.

Reading this thread reminds me about my feelings toward the Swedish national team.
Hate them when they're shit, proud when they win.

I don't normally comment on England as I like them and seems a lot of people don't on here.

Credit where it's due though, Hodgson was brave with his selections in last 2 games and it's paid off. Made up for Gerrard, Sturridge, Johnson etc. Playing in a World Cup will make them better players.

I'm just happy that a manager finally had enough sense to make Gerrard captain.

Wilson makes history for Wales

15th Oct 2013 - Latest News

Liverpool Academy starlet Harry Wilson made history on Tuesday night when he became the youngest player to play for Wales.

The talented winger, aged 16 years and 208 days, made his debut for the national side in the 1-1 draw against Belgium.

In doing so, he replaced Gareth Bale in the record books, who was 16 years and 315 days old when he won his first cap.

Wilson, who joined the Reds' youth set-up at the age of eight, came on as a substitute in the 87th minute of the World Cup qualifier.

He has, in turn, broken the Liverpool record set by Raheem Sterling, who became the club's youngest international when he represented England for the first time in November last year at the age of 17 years and 342 days.

Looks like he's on a field trip or something.

Come to think of it Argentina seems to be fielding their reserve team and rightly so.
