See Andy made a comment about a player looking like a particular celebrity. I read his post just after the game, a game during which my wife kept calling said player Michael. See that's because she also saw the resemblance.

You waded in with what I assume was a humorous race angle. I continued that line of humour by pretending to call my racist wife, the one who thought she saw a resemblance because she thinks all black people look the same*, and show her an angry black man on the internet. In my little fantasy she comes over and we both have a bigoted chuckle at your expense.


*That comment was tongue in cheek. My wife isn't actually a racist. Shout if you need further explanation on this.

Ok, reading that post back and realising that people are a bit sensitive about my post, I went back to read themn's earlier one.

'Waded in' was a poor choice of phrase on my part. Also themn brought in the race joke (what I saw as a joke anyway) and directed at Andy with reference to past threads. I may have thought I was joining the jolly fun, but maybe I was an unwelcome third wheel.

Let's not drag this out MM. We want to retain hard opinions and humour on here but temper that with respect for all posters. There's no thought police or anything - just think we can get points across and be respectful. I know a happy medium is sometimes hard to achieve but we have to at least try. Being honest, I didn't read the whole thread and just saw your comment which raised an eyebrow. It's no biggy - it's an obvious misunderstanding. Apologies for the confusion.
