Watford had a bid for Sinclair rejected. Apparently we want £3million for him. It's good we are trying to make clubs pay over the odds for our players for once.
Or Watford just get him for free by having one of their other clubs buy him in the summer & loan him to Watford, thus negating the compensation that would be due if he went straight to Watford.

I don't think that's over the odds for a player of his age and talent, but I agree it's good to see we're not such patsies as we used to be in the market.

Watford is not in Spain, last I heard. Maybe Quique Flores can convince him it is.

Liverpool “keen on recruiting” Udinese’s Polish midfielder Piotr Zielinski – report

Impressing on loan at Empoli this season, Udinese midfielder Piotr Zielinski is said to be on Liverpool’s radar ahead of the summer.

Taking a long-term view to moulding his Liverpool squad, Jurgen Klopp has already secured the signing of Red Star Belgrade’s Marko Grujic for the summer.
Continuing this post-season recruitment drive, Klopp is set to turn his attentions to Udinese’s Polish midfielder Zielinski.
That is according to Melissa Reddy of Goal.com, who claims that Liverpool have made him a priority target ahead of a possible move at the end of 2015/16.
“The Merseysiders looked into the possibility of signing him in January, but their preference is to bring him in during the summer window,” Reddy writes.
“The player, who has represented Poland at every level, was also unsure of moving mid-season while he is starting regularly at Empoli as he targets a squad place for Euro 2016.
“He has been unsuccessfully pursued by Napoli, Juventus and AS Roma this month.”
Currently on loan with Serie A side Empoli, Zielinski is thought to be valued at around £11 million, though his performances for Poland at Euro 2016 could affect this.
Zielinski is a right-footed central midfielder capable of operating further ahead in attack or on the right wing, and has scored two goals and made five assists in 19 league games so far this season.
At 21, Zielinski has made 11 appearances for the Polish national team, and will be hopeful of a place in Adam Nawalka’s squad for the upcoming tournament.

Standing at 5’8″, Zielinski would be on the shorter scale when it comes to Liverpool’s midfielders, but with Klopp adding physicality to his side’s spine with the addition of Grujic, the Zaglebie Lubin youth product would provide the Reds with more technicality.
Zielinski has averaged 1.7 key passes per 90 Serie A minutes so far this season, the same as Philippe Coutinho.
Far from a lightweight option, Zielinski also averages 2.3 successful tackles per 90, more than Coutinho (1.4) and Jordan Henderson (2.1).

What the signing of Zielinski would mean for Klopp’s current midfield options remains unclear.
The impressive recent performances of Joe Allen come following speculation surrounding the Welshman’s future, with Allen linked with a move back to Swansea City.
But while he will have endeared himself to supporters, whether he has a long-term future at Anfield is questionable.
This should be a factor Klopp considers before sanctioning the signing of Zielinski, as though the Polish midfielder is four years Allen’s junior, it is unclear whether he is an upgrade.

He looks pretty impressive, the passing seems effortless, he is combative and fast. Takes most of Empoli's set pieces. Pretty similar style to Granit Xhaka, actually, it's probably either one or the other in the summer.

'Reliable' pouting tweeting jorno Melissa Reddy is saying the something.

The Guardian Rumour Mill put it better:

And finally Liverpool want the up-and-coming Poland midfielder Piotr Zielinski. They’ll put in a bid of £11m, Udinese will demand twice as much, Liverpool will slap an £11,000,0000.01 bid on the table, Udinese will demand twice as much, Liverpool will slap a take-it-or-leave-it £11,000,000.02 bid on the table, Ian Ayre will go off for a long ride on his big-boy motorised trike, and then someone else will buy Zielinski.

So, we waved a wad of cash around, Gillett-like, but will there be a Snoogy Doggy or is it just an Evertonian PR-exercise?

TARGET: Liverpool are reportedly eyeing a move for Leandro Paredes
The 21-year-old is currently on loan at Empoli and has played a key part in the Serie A side exceeding expectations so far this season by rising to eigth in the table.
And according to Italian outlet Tuttomercatoweb, the Argentine has caught the eye of Liverpool and manager Jurgen Klopp.
The Reds are also tracking his Empoli team-mate Piotr Zielinski and could launch a £11.5m bid in the summer.
Liverpool have turned their attentions to other potential targets with a deal for Alex Teixeira now appearing dead.

This guy is a CM; no way it's connected to the Teixeira deal.
I'm not so sure. As I said earlier (maybe in this thread), I'm not convinced Klopp is buying players that we need right now, but is rather trying to get the players he wants long term.

Maybe the only AM they thought they could get from that list was Teixeira. That hasn't worked so he's spending the cash on another player from that list, regardless of position.

Or it could just be made up journo shite. Who the fuck knows. I like to think it's the former though.

Either way I'm already fearing the worst now that 'a deal is close to falling through'. Blink and we're paying crazy money for a player from a for inferior league, hold our ground and we risk getting nothing at all to improve the squad in the short term this window.

Quite enjoyed the music in that clip. Better than the usual fare.

Looks a good player, but too much like Lallana.

Loic Remy to Leicester for £11.5million? What sorcery is this why does Chelsea always get to sell players at such inflated prices? Make us look a tad silly for not signing him initially given all our injury problems upfront.

I guess we'll find out in a few years about the secrets behind the "sorcery." Most likely kickback schemes, standard practice in corporate Russia.

25 mill for Ramires to a Chinese club. Its definetly something not right about that deal.

Utd prepared to pay 30 mill for Renato Sanches. Any good?
I turned of his youtube comp after 1 min as it had him scoring a great goal and then 3 efforts well off target. Some great footage....

18 years old and a rumoured price of £30m. And his agent is Mendes. Well, that was surprising, no?

Apparently, the player and agent has a legal beef with the ex-Sporting Lisbon chief who questioned if the player was really 18.

Everton have appaz bid 13,5 mill for Niasse.

His wiki page is interesting to say the least.....

l Hadji Baye Oumar Niasse (born 18 April 1990) is a Senegalese professional footballerwho plays for Russian club Lokomotiv Moscowas a winger or striker. We are linked with morata from juve today

Source?

Roma have paid Milan 1.5 million to loan Stephan El Shaarway ... and 14 million if they want to make move permanent. I don't really get what happened to this kid - he was so highly rated, and such a key figure of Milan's rebuilding attempt and now they've flogged him off.

Probably his foot injuries. Haven't been the same (goals-wise; I haven't seen him play) since he first had them in 2013:

Sep - Nov 2013 - missed 11 games for Milan with metatarsal fracture
mid - end Dec 2013 - missed 3 games for Milan with metatarsal fracture again
Jan - Apr 2014 - mssed 20 games for foot surgery
late Jan - May 2015 - missed 15 games for Milan with metatarsal fracture again!

Lots on Twitter following this....

Radio station Cope in Spain are claiming that Real Madrid winger Denis Cheryshev is set to join Liverpool.

I'm a bit worried that I've heard of him. I know very little about him however and we can sing Denis by Blondie for him.
