Arsenal : Are they in the shit ?

Aubameyang sounds like he is on the verge. Does anyone know anything about this Malcolm guy they are linked with?

Arsenal's frailities in CM and CB are even greater than ours - crazy that they also seem to be persistent on signing attackers, although they are now getting weak in that area with a misfiring Lacazette and disillusioned Ozil.

Malcom looks like an excellent talent - left-footed RWF in the mould of Salah. Very pacy and skilful. But he's very young, and will need developing.

Don't think Wenger is the right man for that then

Been reading about Ox in the Arsenal forum and they really regret letting him leave.

If it didn't make me feel like vomiting bile, I'd look what they were saying

I'd rather wait for Modo though

Read my comments in the Chamberlain thread last night (I didn't want him & said 20m I'd be happy with but not 35m to save anybody searching) & I later mentioned that I'd just watched Henry & Carra discussing Arsenal & their issues & Henry slated the attitude around the club.

He basically said it was 'easy', 'happy' & 'relaxed' all the time. Not much pressure & no real ambition pushed at them, from training through to match day prep, said any motivation to push on had to come from within.

It's little wonder their players aren't developing as well as they should do & tbh, it wouldn't surprise me if a lot of these players leaving Arsenal have a similar uptick in performance & matchday ability to what we've seen with Chamberlain here.

As such I'm willing to accept that if Klopp thinks he can get Ozil working again & Ozil comes here having played against us & seen how much pressing is involved, then it could well work out, esp if he's not definitely a guaranteed starter so will rest some games.

The age thing doesn't match up with my expectations, but then it helps any side to have one it two older more experienced heads around at times.

Would be nice to have him more than Elneny and Coquelin in midfield.

A sublime, wonderful player but a very lazy cunt.
If it happens I'll be optimistic about what Klopp can do, like FFF says, but I hope it doesn't happen. If he was 22/23 I could see him changing but not now.

If Arsenal lose Sanchez and Ozil but manage to recruit Mkhitaryan, Aubameyang and Malcolm they'll not have done too badly.

Mkhitaryan has been a major disappointment in the PL, I don't see any benefit there but Arsenal are short of even average bodies so I see the attraction.

Auba : simply makes no sense. Lacazette isn't doing badly at all and clearly has another level, but lacks support. They are losing Sanchez, Walcott and Ozil - they need more creative players (and goals from wide areas) not out and out goal scorers and especially not a striker like Auba who doesn't fit in with Wenger's style at all.

Malcolm : not being sold this window according to his club and I doubt Arsenal are going to up their bid enough to make it worth their while.

I'm always loathe to leap onto any "Arsenal are doomed" bandwagon, as they often seem to cling onto the Top 4 and/ or win a cup, but last season and this season so far, exacerbated by some really poor recruitment and contractual control, has seen Arsenal in as poor a state as I can remember for many years.

As doc says, they might pull a few rabbits out of the hat with incoming players, but the squad as it stands is not great. I mean fucking hell, Alex Iwobi is a regular starter, and that cunt is utterly shite, and Xhaka seems to get worse every game.

Yup thus has ruined my thoughts on their doom.
Aubama and miki played at dortmund together under klopp right? So will know each others game already

Writing off players working under Maureen is a dangerous game. Sarah, De Bruyne, Mata etc. were cast out by him only to find a new lease of life. Mkhitaryan is a class player, and as Atlas points out, if Aubameyang comes in, these are players who were very successful together previously. Aubameyang isn't a CF striker. He's much more like a Salah or Mane. Playing off the shoulder of the defence would be a waste of his pace. He comes from wider positions. If they sign Malcolm too, then they'll have two wide goalscoring players, and a midfielder with the guile to play them in with Mkhitaryan.

The longer they leave it before replacing Wenger, the worse they'll get. Sanchez and Ozil are super players and what have they achieved with them? The state of that club is really poor, and that's pretty much all the manager's fault. Yeah they might still be able to sign some good players but unless Wenger can somehow rip up the culture and build a new identity for the club, they'll continue to struggle.

I think you're missing the critical point here Doc. At Dortmund Klopp had them playing more or less like we are now - Arsenal don't play anything like that and spend more time trying to construct goals with possession and creative passing in the final third. Mkhitaryan isn't an Ozil and Auba isn't a winger/wide attacker anything like Salah and he does play off the shoulder of defenders, a lot, to use that pace. And what of Lacazette ? It simply doesn't make sense to splash out on Auba when your midfield has just been torn asunder.

Arsenal is the definition of shit.... Try to Google shit and it probably come up a pic of their badge!!

They are so shit that even Trump has gone public and said he would rather have footballers from Norway to MLS than from Shithole Places like Arsenal (or something in between those lines!!)

Yes, finding a post of yours to attack requires an almost forensic approach, such is the usual incredibly high quality of your output - couched as it almost always is in diamond-hard logic, a delightful linguistic style and a coruscating wit.

Luckily for me, your let your standards slip with the above.

I see, and the fact that this has eluded stupid people since the dawn of time doesn't dampen your spirits at all
