Is this a conversation we're actually having? Rodgers said about a MONTH ago that the early signings were to bolster the squad, and there would at least 2-3 signings to improve the first team.

If that doesn't happen, and it does seem unlikely, people will have a lot to complain about.

There's value to be found always, in every transfer window. I don't have the time and inclination to draw up a list of players we could have bought who would have improved us, but I've done that in the past.

Needless to say, I don't accept 'London', 'Europe' or 'CL' as a valid excuse. FWIW, Southampton have signed two players who might have improved our first team.

Course they will, but it's an "if" and to add perspective, the three players we've missed out on went to Dortmund and Spurs, do the math why. Shit happens.

You haven't got a very subtle mind, have you?

One can find a person or a group of people unendearing or alien without being 'freaked out' by them. And one can not have a soft spot for something without having a positive hostility, too.

I think you tend to leap to rather crude conclusions.

Right, so we're all moaning about an attacker who we've missed out on in a position we once again don't really need to fill.

And with all due respect, how do you know those players won't be improvements on what we had? How do you know Alberto won't step us as Coutinho did, or Aspas? Or that Willian won't turn out to be a £30m horror move?

People seem to have gotten carried away with a transfer fee rather than an actual player - I don't remember anyone on here ever recommending him. "He does step overs", Whoopdyfuckingdoo. You all sound like fucking Modo, have a look in the mirror and shake your heads and repeat to yourself, "Dos Santos is a shit flop keepy uppy pointless twat".

We'll buy someone else, and if we don't, I'd rather we wait than spunk £30m just because. We've been there and spent the last three years moaning about it.

Looks like he didn't choose spurs over us, rather we didn't bid as much as spurs according to tony barrett:

And yet we didn't get him. So something is wrong or someone didn't do their job properly. Or both.

I don't really get that logic, we had a valuation to both the club and the player, Spurs offered something more lucrative and won. If it was City would you say the same? "Oh we only offered £30m and £100k per week, what amateurs we are to have lost out because someone else offered the club and the player 30% more".

I hear ya.
On the real though. We were told we would sign one or two for the FIRST team. And that the ones we had signed were squadies. So it doesnt matter if you or I think Aspas will be a good first teamer. The manager Mr Rodgers said we will be signing one or two first team players.
Twitter bullshit aside it looks like
Mykhtarian - Outbid
Costa - Didnt want to come to us
Willain - Outbid.

Now I know that with the exception of Glen Johnson you dont like to see the club critiscised but this is bad form mate with 10 days left of the transfer window and we have the same first team as last year that finished 7th while SPurs, Chelsea and Citeh have all mad strengthened. Will and a historical name wont get us top 4. We need matchwinners and we keep fucking it up.
