You do have to wonder about Ayre's job security dont you?
Hes a fucking mess. He's resided over the most unstable period in our history not to mention things like the Chang debacle, the Suarez racism affair. And he seems to have the attraction of a leprositic whore.

Well no, but he was part of a standing army controlled by the Nazi party and as such Nazi ruled and a weapon of the Nazi administration. I think if you tried to explain to a kid how he wasnt a Nazi you would have a struggle.

Mark, you think Oncy and I and all the rest who're complaining are doing it because we missed on Willian specifically? You'll notice no one has been particularly keen on him in this thread.

We're moaning because it's 10 days to the close of the window, and there isn't any sign of the promised first-team signings. I don't know if Willian was a genuine target or not, and I don't know if we missed out on him. But surely, it's obvious, the chances of missing out on a signing to a competitor are much higher in the last 10 days of the window, as are the chances of failing to identify alternative targets, given the short span of time.

There's really no excuse for not having done our main business earlier.

We've already made five up by us getting two more against stoke at home and them getting three less against villa.

Basically, fourth is nailed on so quit all your bitching.

Oh - tbh, my knowledge of German generals etc is limited. I know about the time period etc ... Oh well, when I'm done with all the books I'm reading, maybe I'll delve into a WWII book though I try not to for fear of it pissing me off too much.
 
Apart from money and incompetence. If I were to go purely by Rodgers' promise that there would 2-3 first team signings, then it's not the former.
