@LeTallecWiz - is Munas Dabour any good ? Tall striker and good youtube goals. Cheap backup ? Could he cut it in the PL ?

He's a decent striker but I don't think he's good enough (physically or technically) for our team. I think he's better suited for a less physical league, and isn't an improvement on what we have.

I get that I'm in the minority here, but I think Frankie (Solanke for those of you who are slow) is a wayyyy better player than he is being given chance to show.

If this lad was at a Southampton, or Wolves, we'd be saying he'd be an ideal backup for our admittedly well stocked forward line.

We've bought someone boss but haven't been able to develop them, unfortunately.

If we get him out on loan or sell him he'll develop into one helluva player. I'm sure of it.
I'm with you on that

The lad has so much in his locker it's unreal. Sadly he's come at the worst time imaginable

We'll sell him, but buy him back in 6 years for at least 50m

FWIW I hope we can loan him out, cos he'll be boss.

I hope we loan him out to Man United so I can follow his career minute by minute. Dissapointing few headlines about them today... only 3-4 per newspapers. Biggest news is about how Solskjær has brought an old friend to work with the 15 and 16 years old teams. Bring in Frankie so there is some interesting news!!!

I think Solanke's all-around game, technique and intelligence are quite good, especially for his age and together with his size and athleticism makes him an exciting prospect. What he struggled with last season was finishing and playing as a number 9, as opposed to #10 that he was playing before Klopp. He reminds me of Firmino a little bit; I think Klopp is so patient with him because he hopes to make him into this kind of false-9 striker/playmaker – but he's got a long way to go.

He's the perfect backup to firmino

Problem is he won't develop as firmino has touched lucky with regards to injury so far

I dont know that Id consider our forward line well stocked, I dont see Solanke ever being a competitor for Mane or Salahs position so essentially hes looking to play the central role.

Firmino is the clear number 1 in that role but I dont think we can expect him to play 50+ games a season. Which means hes competing with Sturridge who has 4 goals in the last 2 seasons and will be out of contract in a few months, Origi who has basically been frozen put under Klopp. Hardly a murderers row of top class talent.

I've not seen enough of Solanke to judge the lad but there's obviously something there. Shame we had such an early exit from the League Cup, he'd have surely gotten minutes in that competition. Wasn't Rhian Brewster also given assurances that he would be given some first team opportunities? I've seen even less of Brewster, but with him fast approaching fitness, there's some difficult decisions to be made.

Brewster will definitely get chances, he's a huge prospect who could make an impact more or less immediately.

Agree 100% with this - I don't know why people doubt him just because he has not scored the goals in the limited minutes he has been given. He has everything in his locker you could ask for in a striker. Even the few minutes he has had his positional sense of those around him is really good, even in his short cameo appearance for England first team, he did a brilliant run and setup someone else to score or some shit like that.

In the game he was given, he showed nothing. He reminds me off Ings, he has no pace or skill and had no impact on the little time he did get. If he isn’t scoring, he does very little to contribute. A loan is good for him and us.

Origi should be sold. It doesnt look like he will ever get anything out of his potential.
This season he has saved himself with the goal against the Blueshite.

We need a better back up to Firmino, but also someone capable of interchanging with the front three. Not sure who that player is tbh.

Now and then a player comes up for discussion whom some folks rave about but whom I haven't seen a reason to rate particularly highly. This guy is one of them. Not at all sure what I think about this link.

That would make me sad

He'll no doubt be a massive success, whereas if we bought him his knee would have exploded
Really sad this..he would have been an angel here but now he will be cunt.

Also if when they come to our place ... i really hope we have a commanding position in the league...coz i bet you he will cause us to slip.

I can't recall seeing him play or if I did he hasn't stood out but goal no.3 in this video makes me think he could be a good fit:

Would love it if we signed him before the City game and just started him in that game. Imagine the City players and their Plastic supporters...."Fuck - not him again !!!".

I don't think he will get injured, I think our medical staff have maye over egged it a bit on that condition, but then again - you have to wonder if we had signed him - would we have signed the PowerCube ? - probably not. That said - I do wish we had some creative left sided player - he would have been perfect for us.

Twitter lot going mental about that silver Mercedes going to Melwood.

It's only day one
That's a fucking joke - why ? - was Fekir inside that Merc or just some made up shit None of it makes any sense - also the ultimate logic would be that the owner of Lyon would never sell at a discounted rate based on our medical concerns, just coz we don't agree with his knee does not stop other big clubs from signing him with near enough the same money.
