Who would you bring in?

I think it's fair to say most people feel it's not a matter of if Roy is given the chop, but when...

So if he goes, who would you like that's available?

any good managers looking to get out of a bad situation at another club that would be a good punt?

The List

Pellegrini
Dalglish
Martin O'Neil
Hiddink
Mourinho's Brother Bobby

So let's move past this "Roy out" talk. Let's get specific. Any bright ideas?

I think either a definitely brilliant signing (Hiddink) or a traditional, in house signing (Kenny). But no more "He could work out" type signings.

Kenny until the owner situation is finally sorted out.
how about Hiddink as Caretaker - an inspiring signing, steady the ship like he did down south.

Please extend the courtesy to Liverpool's legendary number seven of spelling his name correctly.

A young sexy dapper italian suit wearing motherfucker! Ive said it many times.
Emery, Sanchez Floro, Jiminez.
One of those bastards. No one old and saggy.

Yeah, what Rafa said.

And then we *do* need to take a risk. Fuck some old fuck brought in to 'steady the ship'. We need a young, hungry young manager to come in a build a new one.

I don't care where he's from, we need passion, drive, confidence, hunger and new ideas

We need the next Shanks.

So specifically who fits that bill? It's pretty hard to spot one...
Does he wear a grey v-neck? Does he stand in the technical area with his sleeves rolled up and tanned arms thrust into expensive suit trousers that fit like a dream? Does he jump up and make manic hand and face gestures when a chance goes awry?
Thats our man the sexy cunt!

I doubt that many fans spotted Shankly

Wenger was hardly a household name.

Baconface came from fucking *Scotland*

I suppose it could be argued that the last two highly sought-after young managers (Benitez and Mourinho) could have been cosidered 'risky' given they had never managed outside of their own countries too.

Where is that next young manager?

Brilliant fucking Hiddink, the man is a fraud ahhhhhh. Anyway back to reality, if the club chose to rid themselves of hodgson they wil;l have to pay him off so it's highly unlikely they will then want to pay compensation to release the next manager from his club. So it's likely we would promote from within or go for a manager that doesn't have a club.

That leaves for me Dalglish, O'neill and Pellegrini. What other managers are out there clubless?

Dalglish until a new owner comes in, then re-evaluate the situation depending on who has taken over and how Kenny is doing. If our owners are rich Mourinho, if they are not then Dalglish can mentor someone like Carra.

In failing that MON would steady the ship and demand respect from the players, Martinez or Coyle would be gambles but we might have to try something new...

Sounds like you love Mancini or Loew... 😛

Seriously though,

I think for this season a Hiddink would be great, so we know we're in good hands. A manager with great record, get us into CL, and up the table, as we begin the search for the "fella" what none of us can currently identify...!

Klinnsman did pretty badly in Germany.

What about Joachim Loew?

He might bring over some of the GGGGGermans as well..

Tough one. A few weeks ago I would have said Alex McLeish. Then I changed my mind and would have opted for Steve Bruce.

Now I reckon it's gotta be Ian Holloway.

Hmmmmm Martinez!!! *Imagines Martinez in a sharp suit gesticulating at his second centre back to press further up the pitch*

Again, all better than Roy, but not good enough for us. We'd definitely be mid table material.

You need a continental manager to attract the talent. The British managers just aren't good enough for this league, with one exception.

In 30 years of management here are the major trophys he has won. 1 European Cup and if you want to call a major trophy 1 FA Cup. I'm sorry but the man would not justify the 5 Mill he would want for the season.

No.

Ye but he eats it aswell, surely thats the deal clincher.

I'll tell you what though, Loew has his team playing the way we'd want to play...

As for Hiddink, you know *for one season* he'd stop the malaise, and we'd have a shot at a CL spot. What more could we want for this fecking season.

Then bring in "the guy" in the V-neck - Loew or whomever!

klinsmann and loew were the key members who rebuild the current germany setup though.

I don't think we can get loew at the moment, that's why I suggested klinsmann.

He wouldn't steady the ship. A few losses and we'd be back in sacking territory. No, for this season we need a safe bet.

Hiddlink or someone similar followed next season by Sum yung Guy. I'd take Kenny if not, but that feels a bit riskier.

Loew is worth a look, I can't believe we haven't considered...

Are you Jogi's agent.
Honestly dream on if you think he will manage Liverpool under current circumstance.

No, the premise is this - safe pair of hands for this year - like Gussy Baby did at Chelsea, and then bring in the man for the future come next June when all is safe and sound...and the ownership thing is sawted.

Klinsmann would be a disaster. Failed at Bayern Munich and if I remember right likes life in the States. No thanks.

If we sack hodgson now, I don't think we can bring in any high profile interim boss. The club has no money, outside transfer window and a squad seriously lack in depth. They might suffer the same fate as hodgson. I think the most realistic (maybe the only) choice is Kenny.

All I'm saying is, if we want a young manager with ambition to change the entire mentality of our squad, klinsmann should be one of the candidate.

Of course we can bring in a high profile boss. Incentive based hiring - top 4 spot, and you get a nice bonus, plus the prestige of turning the fortunes of one of the world's biggest clubs around. We all know this squad is underperforming. Any kind of a decent manager would see that...
