Who from LFC's past could play in Rodgers system?

There's not much to argue with there - But he didn't play in the Rodgers traditional number 10 role. Wasn't he more used on the left cutting in?
and what is Suarez doing now?

Barnes would be the perfect player.
Hansen too.
Steve Nicol's versatility.

Were they quick? Well if you say so. I always thought Lawro was slow as fuck but I'm probably wrong.

[article=http://www.bobpaisley.com/article/75] He is not an elegant mover, but he is particularly quick. He possesses very long legs and a correspondingly long stride. So although he looks a bit leggy when he's in full flight, you can be sure that he has the speed to get himself out of trouble. [/article]

How about

Clemence

Finnan --- Hansen --- Hyypia --- Riise/Nicol

Alonso ---- Souness

Litmanan --- Beardsley --- Barnes

Torres

Kenny could play in any system. The one who would really flourish would be Terrry McDermott, years ahead of his time anyway and absolutely brilliant at linking between defence, midfield and attack, timing his runs into the box, excellent technique, exceptional movement off the ball and blessed with an incredible engine. If that man was around now in his pomp he'd be worth £100m.

The left side of a front 3 would be perfect for Barnes. 20gls/15assists a season and his tracking back/defending was underestimated.

Don't get me wrong I loved Molby - That's not the point I'm making. I'm talking about past players that could make into the modern day squad that Rogers puts out. Molby wouldn't be there imo.

I'm not sure what the question means? Pretty much every top player we've had would get a spot in this team- either as a starter or as part of the larger squad. Rodgers' system is hardly unique. In terms of demands on player attributes, he just demands a high work-rate from his advanced midfielders and attackers - nothing that couldn't be worked out with acclimatisation to the system (at least with all the top players we've had in the past).

I suppose the debate really is only about slowish midfielders like Alonso, Molby, McAllister and Hamann. There's no question for me - any of them would walk in and be an integral part of our current set-up.

Clemence was notorious for being a frustrated outfield player. He would have loved being able to play the ball more often.

The problem for Clemence was that his kicking wasn't that accurate. Then again, neither is Mignolet's.
