We've got 20 million to spend this summer

We'll double that money and more by selling Skrtel and Carroll. As said before there are class players out there for less than 20m as with Coutinho and Sturridge (or Michu, Sissoko). I think we'll need at least 2 central defenders and one attacking player - ideally a wide man, though I do like the idea of raiding Ajax for Eriksen and Alderweireld. Hopefully Allen proves his value next season and Borini too. I'd also like to see Coates step up.

no doubt our illustrious leader will spunk the £20 mill on Ashley fucking Williams

Why the hate - THe club's transfer record in the last two windows under Rodgers has been decent. I don't care who's doing the buying, they seem to be doing okay; Borini, Allen, Yesil, Assaidi, Couthino and Sturridge.

I'm expecting Allen to flourish next season when we get a better anchor than Lucas. Borini has been adequate as back-up striker and Couthino and Sturridge have been immense.

I'd be happy for more of the same TBH

Yesil is a good investment. He's been injured for half his Liverpool career, but was doing fine for the reserves. Borini has been injured for most of his LFC career - I think its very dificult to judge his value as yet. As for Assaidi, he's loked good when he's played. Why he's been played so little is a different issue.
I would query Rodgers more for his open dismissal of players he doesn't think measure up. Andy Carroll could have been managed so much better. Downing too, and to an extent Enrique - though, by accident or design, things have turned around for those 2.

Taking into consideration that the Dortmund team that beat Real yesterday combined cost less than one Andy Carroll, £20M should suffice for now as we don't need 11 new players.

Mr Rodgers has signed
Allen
Borini
Yesil
Sturridge
Assaidi
Coutinho
All under 25 all for a combined fee of about 45m
I think weve been great in the transfer windows thus far.
That 45m was probably totally paid for by Aquilani, Bellamy, Maxi and Kuyts wages.

I honestly cant be happier with the direction we are taking. If he has 20m and sells Carroll, Skrtel and Spearing/Wilson etc for say 30m, id be really excited to see how he spends the 50m and how we shape up next year.
Bare in mind that Carroll, Skrtel, Spearing and Wilson have had literally no bearing on our season, it means we are literally able to invest 50m of new blood into this years squad.
My hope is that its no more than 3 players. Not options but challengers.

For some bonkers reason I really like Assaidi.

He shows promise.

I didn't mean to belittle him, nor borini for that matter, as they haven't had anywhere near enough time to prove themselves.

I just feel it's a bit early to say Rodgers signings have been a success, as until they have proven themselves one way or another the jury's still out, like it is on Rodgers.

Chavs, utd and city and maybe even arsenal will spend over £50 million each. How the fuck are we ever going to finish higher than them.

We're not Fox. Ever.

I'd just stop following us now, leaving this site & anything lfc related alone.

Arsenal will spend big this season if rumours are to be believed, and we know the Mancs will as has been reported. I think we will have to buy very wisely and hope to stay injury free. I think our defence need building up and I hope we end up getting that Uruguayan player we were linked with when we had all that Agger going crap early in the season.

29, played 117 games in his last 4 seasons and has scored 66 goals as winger.
Much better injury record after he transfered to Bayern.

For the right fee and wages I'd sign him in a heartbeat.
Fantastic player.

lol so you think a player who has won titles and appeared in 2 CL finals will want to come to us?

Zero chance

Why would a player leave Bayern Munich, arguably the best club, in the best league in the world right now, to come and lift Liverpool to a Europa League position.

As if he's going to be arsed.

Considering what Bayern have done (signed 2 of the best players on their biggest rivals, plus a few more of the brightest young 20 year olds starting in the Bundesliga), it's about to become a one team league.

I really hope we don't buy Robben.

We need to keep on building for the future adding players like Coutinho and Sturridge.

I'd sign Robben but he's looking for a pay day. No chance we'll pay what he wants.

Even if everything else was agreed, Robben won't come here for fear of Pepe tearing his head off and spitting down the hole.
