...well probably not.

Anfield boss Jurgen Klopp could Kop the striker in the summer for £25m.
Vardy, 29, is seen as a modern-day Ian Rush, the Liverpool legend who is now an Anfield ambassador.

That is because of his pace, work rate and goalscoring instinct that saw Vardy set a new Premier League record this season when he scored in 11 matches in a row.
A source close to the situation told the Daily Star Sunday: “Vardy is the right fit for Liverpool.
“He would suit their high-intensity game under Klopp, he runs the channels and he’s now demonstrated his goalscoring ability at the highest level.
“As a result of his success this season, all the big clubs are looking at him.
“But Liverpool look to be the favourites – if he decides to leave Leicester.”

The Foxes will fight to keep Vardy and will offer him a new contract which will double his current £45,000-a-week deal.
And he could yet opt to remain at the King Power Stadium.
After all, they currently have a better chance of playing in the Champions League next season than Liverpool.
But it is clear Vardy will have a big decision to make on his future in the coming months.

had to google that one, I was unaware

Looks like a proper arsehole. Also looks like he weighs about 4 stone, hopefully someone ends him next time he gets on like that.
Yeah me too. As most on here know I have a love of all things Japanese. It wasn't that though (particularly) it was more the vitriol in which he aimed his abuse. He's clearly a massive cunt.

That's quite interesting in terms of the comparison. A 'modern day Rush'.

I suppose there are some playing similarities in terms of genuine pace and that amazing 'defend from the front' work rate.

The only real difference is that at 29, Ian Rush had won several titles, domestic Cups, and European trophies, as well as scoring well over 200 goals at the highest level of football.

Jamie Vardy has scored 20 Premiership goals in his entire career so far, and won the Conference.

What's that about Red?

If I may intrude:

Leicester City were last night embroiled in another race storm as a video emerged ofEngland striker Jamie Vardy allegedly racially abusing a fellow casino-goer.

The forward, who made his international debut for England only this year, is caught on camera, apparently repeatedly referring to a Japanese customer at a casino as "Jap".

Vardy, who scored on Saturday as Leicester beat Sunderland 4-2 in the opening match of the Premier League season, was in the casino with fiancee Rebekah Nicholson, 33, and fellow Leicester City players David Nugent, 30, and Ritchie De Laet, 26.

As they played poker in the early hours of Sunday, July 26, Vardy apparently became agitated when he thought a man of behind him was looking at his cards.

In the video he can be heard saying: “Jap. Yo Jap. Walk on. Walk on. Oi, walk on. Yeah you, Jap. Walk on.”

A witness told the S*n on Sunday: “It was awful. He then said, ‘Away’. His girlfriend says to the man, ‘You’ve been looking at his cards’. They rowed for a couple of minutes and then the other guy eventually walked off.”

He added: “He behaved like an absolute animal, it was appalling. The other guy was a man of East Asian appearance. He looked shocked by what happened.

“As an England international he should know that eyes are going to be on him when he goes out, but he acted just like a football thug.”

Just minutes later Vardy is alleged to have got involved in another row when a customer pointed out to him that watching a poker table is allowed, as long as you make no comment on the hand being played.

The striker is said to have become angry and asked the customer "outside" to settle the argument. De Laet is then said to have held Vardy in a headlock to prevent him going.
Both De Laet and Nugent are seen in the video trying to calm Vardy down, and neither are accused of any wrongdoing.

Vardy apologised for the incident on Sunday.

In a statement released by Leicester the 28-year-old said: "I wholeheartedly apologise for any offence I've caused.

"It was a regrettable error in judgement I take full responsibility for and I accept my behaviour was not up to what's expected of me."

Leicester issued their own response, promising to look into the incident.

"We expect the highest standards from our players on and off the pitch and for them to set an example as role models in our community," read a statement.

"We have noted Jamie's apology and will begin a process of investigation into the incident imminently. There will be no further comment until this process has concluded."

He also made some 'slitty eyes' comment to an asian fan at a match.

We shouldn't rush into buying a striker. Ings will shit goals for us next season and Origi could become a star.

Easy now, but I agree in principle, it's not the centre forward position where we need more goals, it's from the attacking midfield / wingers.

I'm not in favour of signing him but I'm not sure that he is a one season wonder. Even if his pace does start to go, he is a very clever passer and he could probably still play at a very high standard.

Do you remember when Charlie Austin was linked with big money moves ? He was bought for 4m this week.

Thats Vardy next year

He was working in a prosthetics warehouse a couple of years ago. I'm sure he couldn't give a fuck whether he's sold for £25 or £4 million. He was on £200 quid a week then.

I believe he's got be Italian cousin called Roberto, who is also a decent footballer.
