Needed more quality off the bench really. One of Firmino or Coutinho would have changed this game.

More experience for some players that could be important for us in years to come. Benteke gets worse the more he plays.

The only 'win' tonight is all the Hammers fans have to either

A) Hotel
B) Sleep rough
C) Start walking
D) Hitch a lift with a dodgy lorry driver.

Small comfort...

We've got four players coming back from injury in 1-2 weeks I think we'll be OK.

Teixeira falling down all the time was disappointing. He's 23 and he seemed intent on showing he isn't up to the physical challenge of this level. He should be embarrassed by some of those falls.

He's Portuguese it's in their DNA

They were absolute tossers all match. Only intent on bating with derogative songs. I would have loved them to have to drive all the way home having lost ... and encountered a few hours of delays on the M6 to add to their misery.

Yeah. I thought Klopp's subs didn't help the team - Brannagan, Teixeira and Allen were the three guys on the team who could hold and pass the ball the most creatively and accurately. Enrique and Sinclair coming in took out two of those, and Enrique of course tried all the tricks in the book to cost us the game.

We should've won this and settled this tie here. It's good news for the youngsters out there because Klopp will probably give them another go in the replay. They generally showed that they were good enough and played with great energy and enthusiasm to repay his faith. While the replay doesn't help, it means we also get to see some of these guys for another game - I'm excited to watch them again!

It's okay not playing the best team you can field in order to rest first teamers but so far all we've done in the FA Cup is add to our fixture congestion.
Then again with Benteke up front we were always going to struggle to get goals.

Just watching that replay of the Benteke chance on 75 min. It was so easy to pass the ball to Teixeira who was completely open and had an empty goal in front of him. Instead Benteke just blasted the ball into the goalkeeper who was lying on the ground. Any player, even a youngster, should be expected to have enough awareness to make that pass.

If he had Can's face, everyone would think he was just never going to make it. Instead you tend to think he's some prospect, till you remember his age. He reminds me of Bruno Cheyrou. Not totally lacking in technical ability, and even industrious and willing to be involved, but ineffectual.

On the other hand, our attacking play in general isn't exactly making anyone look good.

Especially the last one when he failed to find Ojo with the return pass.

It's a pity because I remember him thundering into a tackle away to Fulham on his debut that night.

Agreed, that needs to be a goal.

To be fair to Tex, he was doubled up on for much of the game, and Reid seemed intent on kicking shit out of him, I think he was simply outmuscled, he hasn't played alot of football at this level even if he is 23. If anyone should be embarrassed it's that berk Sinclair, all arrogance and a pathetic attempt at a dive. Why is the want-away prick even playing?

Quite. He's not been like that in the past. He even fell in his own penalty area. Lose possession = fall down. He needs to watch that game back and sort himself out.

More importantly, why were we cup tying him when we're supposed to be playing hardball with his potential transfer fee?

And he played on the wing. Since when is Teixeira a winger?
