Good game today from Werder. The team has changed a lot over the summer, many new players, most of them very young. Selassie looks just as good as he did at the Euros, calm in defense and even scored a goal. Elja flickered in spurts, but really should have done better with a couple of scoring chances he had. Arnautovic looked very focused and dangerous on the right, maybe this will be his breakthrough season.

Beat local rivals Hamburg 2-0 today in their first home game.
Aaron Hunt scored and missed a penalty and Peterson scored the 2nd.
Peterson on loan from Munich looks an excellent player.
Bremen dominated for large periods and play an excellent brand of football.
Without doubt they could mount a challenge for a Champions league spot this season.
