Wenger - '100M kitty' but he'll stick to his Youth Policy

All very worthy however, IF the article is correct, for me his recruitment policy has cost Arsenal at least 2 PL titles (both surrendered to United when Arsenal were dominating the PL in January). I'll be happy if he continues in this vein in the Summer.

A clip from the article linked to here :

Arsenal majority owner Stan Kroenke is set to entrust Arsene Wenger with a £100 million transfer budget in the summer, but the manager insists he will stick to his ethos of nurturing young talent and producing homegrown stars.
Arsenal's Premier League title bid appears to be over for another year after taking just two points from their last three games, opening the door to Everton to try and break Wenger's perfect Champions League qualification record.
But the board has taken injuries to key players into account and retained its faith in Wenger, and with new revenue streams boosting the club's income have pledged to back him in the transfer market once more, according to The Telegraph.

In spite of the show of faith, Wenger does not intend to stray far from his recruitment philosophy.
Nicolas Anelka, Thierry Henry, Patrick Vieira, Cesc Fabregas and Wojciech Szczesny were all given their chance to shine in the Premier League for the first time under Wenger's guidance at Arsenal and the Frenchman remains convinced that loyalty is garnered by his long-term approach.

Between this and United's 200 million to spend I would imagine being a football agent right now must be pretty good.

I'm a bit concerned about this £200m Utd seem to be planning to spend. This decline of theirs could be pretty short lived if they ally that with a good new manager. 🙁

The 200m will include wages of course. Probably already including the Rooney increase.

If it exists at all.

Who wants to take the chance of joining a fading team with no CL footy for at least one season, and no guarantees of being there the next season either?

Suarez, Coutinino, and others made that choice!

He'll buy the top scorer in France, whoever it is but he has to be French or french speaking.
Also he'll buy another Rosicky, Özil, Cazorla, Wilshere type player, cause they obviously don't have enough of them.

...Draxler?

I'd be a bit surprised if they actually pulled that one off though.

He'll join the German Real Madrid and they'll probably dump Shakiri on some prem team.
Don't forget that Robben is like 47 years old and Ribery was found during a cave excavation. Frozen in ice. It's like that Mel Gibson movie, his ageing is starting to accelerate. Soon he'll turn to dust.

Yes, there's infinity money available at Arsenal, and Wenger simply chooses not to spend it. This one remains as persuasive as ever.
