Evrton actually played alright, 2-0 probably flattered City but it makes no odds now as they are back on top. We need a response against Bournemouth, it feels like the next couple of games will define the rest of our season.

It may be in our hands, but we haven't been great since the City game, which is the last time we had both Lovren and Trent in the side.

We need to start winning again, keeping clean sheets, and to do that I think we need two of Trent, Lovren, Gomez back. Either that or our front three need to step up another level. Our team is just not strong enough at present.

Yeah they must have been more than allright... the match stats say 1 shot on target and 0 off target...

I prefer points in hand rather than games in hand. Come on you Redssss. We need to win again and not draw. God forbid that we lose.

Its just got a horrible feeling about it, a dark black cloud gathering around us that we cant do anything about.

Well that's a lovely positive thought to start the day with.

Matches the weather at least!

I'm not overly worried about Bournemouth.

I'm pretty sure he'll play Camacho, cos he won't have an Anderson to worry about against them, & I'm convinced that's the only reason he didn't play him on Monday.

That change alone will give us a decent chance of sorting the midfield, as Milner & Fabinho will be available for it.

The issue then being that it looks like Fabinho, Milner & Keita are all naturally inclined/best suited, to play almost exactly the same position, but hopefully we'll either have Gini or Hendo back too.

I struggle to believe that Firmino, Salah, Robbo, & VVD will all be below par for the third game running, maybe one or two of them, but not all four of them.

Stop that talk, or you may find a load of us walking out the tent accusing you of shagging our bird

Tonight's result wasn't unexpected.

Us slipping up against Bournemouth wouldn't be unthinkable either.
Actually yes it would with the 2nd best home record in the PL of this season of 10-2-0 (32-7) and Bournemouth with the 5th worst away record of 3-0-9 (12-27). But don't let that spoil your rhetoric.

Bournemouth without Wilson or Brooks can only be a good thing. I guess Solanke will be getting a start at Anfield!

Hmmm. Fabs is primarily a defensive minded mid, Keita primarily a playmaker who can drive into the box and Milner best at RM. I don't see any issue to be honest. Though I want to see Fabs and Gini starting at least. In fact those two plus either of Keita or Hendo I'd be fine with.

I dont mean the Bournemouth game. It just feels like we have let City off the hook.

I know given our points results its hard to criticise, weve done BRILLIANTLY. But they are a machine. Their squad is so fucking good that Stones, Danilo, Sane, Jesus and Mahrez etc didnt even play against Arsenal. Now half the side rested last night against Everton and will be fresh for Chelsea.

Its got this horrible feeling of inevitabilty about it.
I think we will need to win every game left to win this league.

Draws kill. ONE defeat and still not out of sight. Spurs and City have done a far better job of not drawing games.

Spurs have done an unprecedented job of not drawing games! It's utterly bizarre that they haven't drawn even once.

I just don't see citeh not losing one or two more games though, everyone had said all season that they won't get beaten & they have done.

There's no way they get through a period of playing in four competitions without slipping up, just can't see it at all.

This isn't over yet, & I don't think it will be for quite a while.

Yeah probably be over in May.

Could also suggest we've done a good job of turning 3 defeats into draws, thus having a 3 point lead.. but hey ho. I get the point conversely (turned a win into a draw etc.)

You could definitely suggest that if you wanted to ignore the fact that four of the five draws we were leading in and conceeded an equaliser in the second half.

The ONLY one you could say we snatched a draw from was the Chelsea game and Sturridges late equaliser.

The rest we snatched a draw from the jaws of victory.

Alisson has conceded 7 goals from 11 shots this year. I don't think that's because he's not as sharp as he normally is. It's probably more down to the spaces our defence is leaving for attackers and the high quality of their shooting. But we've really got to tighten up.

I'd be more worried if City looked like they did last season but they have just as many chinks in the armour as we do.As it stands we still just to match their form to win the league, which likely means win 80% draw 10% and lose the rest based on current form.

Doable.
