Do we have too many injuries to get a positive result?

Are any of our injured starters likely to return? Mign? Sakho? Ibe?

Who will start at keeper? CB? AM?

---------------- GK --------------------
Clyne ---Toure ---- CB----Moreno-
--------Can---Lucas--Allen----------
-----Lallana--Firmino----AM---------

I'm worried. With all our injuries we are significantly weaker than them in every area and position on the pitch.

I'd imagine Benteke would reconsider his "strengths" against a player 5 or so inches taller. He might move around more to open up some space. It might trigger something and give him some confidence.

If he plays and simply thinks he can stand still, wait for a cross and then out jump Mertesacker then I give up.
I'd like to be optimistic but I just can't see us getting anything but a hiding.

Toure and Sakho as our CBs then. Ming in goal.
Ibe has a chance of being fit.

Benteke or Firmino upfront is the question I guess.

Havent got a good feeling about this one. Or the one on Sunday.

I missed Exeter game - did anyone impress enough to keep a place here? One of the CMs or AMs?

I believe it'll be the other way around - we've so many injuries, we'll get a positive result because expectations will be so low and we seem to rise to the occasion when you bet on us as the underdogs.

Milner is fit by the way, so no way he doesn't play. I think Sakho is available as well, though in his current form, that doesn't really bring too much joy to me. Let's not disappoint Doctor Wenger who suggested that when we play them, our injured will turn up (hence the Doctor title).

I think we'll have a team like this:

-------------- Mignolet -----------------
Clyne -- Toure -- Sakho -- Moreno
--------------- Lucas -------------------
------ Milner --------- Can ------------
Ibe --------- Firmino -------- Lallana

subs: Bogdan / Ward, Ilori, Randall, Smith, Allen, Brannagan / Teixeira, Benteke

We'll get murdered, and annoyingly I double booked myself thinking the game was on Tuesday 🙁

If sakho and Hendo are back we have a good chance of a draw at least. No way would I play benteke over firmino. Firmino works a lot harder and offers more to the team at the moment. If we just keep giving possession to Arsenal they will tear us open regularly. 433 with a nice early strong tackle on Ozil to shake him up a bit.

This is arsenal remember.

As such we could go out there with a shite team on paper, get an early goal & watch them crumble.

We could go out with a strong looking side & they could take us apart systematically.

Or, it could be any combination of the above!

The good thing is that the chaps we send out should all have had a few extra days' recovery and training, so they should hopefully be able to go out and start manically pressing the Gunners. We all know Arsenal don't like it when opponents harass them and trap them hard - that energy and effort can offset the imbalance in quality between the sides, so hopefully the guys can trap the shit out of the opponents and justify Klopp's gamble and decision to rest all of them against Exeter.

Hendo and Ibe seem to be back aswell.

I'd go:

Mingo

Clyneo Kolo Sakho Moreno

Cano Hendo

Ibeo Lallanao Milnero

Firmino

Probably the same team for me (without the stupid O's). The only one I'm unsure about is Ibe; his decision-making is shockingly poor at times. That said, he is among the most likely goal-scorers we have in this team.

For me both Brannagan and Texeira gave good enough performances to warrant consideration for the bench. Smith will be there anyway since we have no other viable alternative reserve at LB. If Ibe is not fit to start then Texeira should as one of the three behind Firmino.

-----------------Ming-------------------
Clyne---Toure----Sakho---Moreno
----------------Lucas------------------
----Hendo-----------------Can-------
--Milner-------Firmino------Lallana

I'd go with:

--------------Mignolet
Clyne---Toure---Sakho--Moreno
----------------Can
-----Henderson---Milner
-----Ibe----Firmino----Lallana
