An attacking outlet...a Lavezzi type player to hit people on the counter!

We clearly see time and time again that suarez is at the heart of everything, the service isn't half bad and i expect it to improve once Gerrard returns, but even then, we don't look mobile/fast enough to break down perhaps the smaller teams in the league. This isn't a knee jerk reaction to the exeter game, but its clearly evident in all the games we have seen so far.

IMO, no. Lavezzi is a good shout but he'll never join and would be too expensive.
Still, there are some exciting youths out there, Boudabouz maybe?

Pitty none of our attacking youth players are old/mature enough.
Pacheco would be the best of the bunch.

As you say, Gerrard will give us that, as will Henderson once he settles (and he will settle). I'm a big Carroll fan but the problem you raise is another reason why I don't think we can play Dirk in the same side as Andy...just not enough pace in the attacking third.

We need to replace hard work with flair, pace and skill to break down the park bus teams. I'll maintain we're not far...just 1 or 2 additions and the ball will start to roll.... Kuyt might be the one to make way IMO if Kenny manages to bring someone in...

If we brought in another attacking flair player who could beat his man and give us cutting edge on the counter would you want Kuyt replaced? Don't get me wrong, i LOVE Kuyt's effort and professionalism and yes he does score goals (against bigger teams too) but we all know what he's capable of at his BEST. It's controversial but he would be the one for me to give way..

As long as Kenny doesn't let Kuyt play 90 minutes in games where he's been poor like Rafa did, I'll be happy.

Pennant, Gonzalez, Riera to name but 3 were meant to come in and do this and look what happened there.

I don't think we'll sign another attacking midfield/wide player this summer regardless. This Coates lad will probably sign, and possibly another striker but that's far from certain(feel we do need one tho).
