But the abuse Roy is getting is vastly unwarranted (so far)

If he's that fucking clueless, how has he made signings like Cole and Meireles which most people are claiming as masterstrokes
It might be unfair. But in wich situation has he shown you that his managerial skills will a)entertain you, b) win you a match or c) improve our current performance

There are so many people on here who should just fuck off and support someone else. Seriously!
Yeah. Because the answer to who should lead our team is given and not debatable. It has to be Roy Hodgson.
I am curious to know what exactly is your problem with Roy Insig.
You have been on his case since before he was appointed so it is not down to his Liverpool career so far.
Was he the manager of a rival team in Scandanavia?
Just curious as I don't think you are on your own.

No. The answer to who should lead our team should be decided after more than five games.

Well I think the last time was when he brought Ngog on when we were 2-0 down, changed the formation, and we came back to 2-2 away at Old Trafford.

Haha. He was very uninspirational here in Norway coaching a midtable team to just as many wins as losses.

My issue with him is that he seem to defensive in his way of thinking. Like today. We dont dare totake the game to them. We are confident destroying and parking the bus, and we have all excuses for not performing ready prior to the game have started.

In interviews he actually seem decent and he adresses things, but as soon as he put up his teamsheet he shows me he hasnt got the balls to dictate games.

Today I actually think he picked the best team availble except for Maxi. Maxi has spent 8 months proving he is not adding anything to our team. And today Roy maybe was let down by the players. i mean it was situations out there were all you had to do was passing the ball around a red shirt to a white and you end up passing it straight in the legs of the red one. So "key" players let us down today. But all over Roy has to walk away from the attitude that it is ok that we looses games as we are this or that or tadilefuckingtei in his excuses.

We are Liverpool FC. We have to dare.Dare to win. Not settle for a dull draw.

"And some other crap"

Yeah, like the over-performance of a relegation threatened Fulham side to a European final, and the ability to operate on a shoe string budget.

I really doubt his passport came into it.
I can't remember but did they have a team that was a dead cert. relegation squad or just a drop kick manager?
They were uninspirational throughout the whole season apart from 4-1 agianst Juve. Relax, we will win 4-1 in one european match ourselves.
Haha. We already have.

Masterstroke may be too strong a word to use at this juncture, however most commentators suggest he is worth much more than we paid for him, we just got lucky as he was in the last year of his contract. He looks class to me.

The shoeing Hodgson is getting - at least from some - is just a bit of gallows humour. And I think we need all the humour we can get right now.

I agree with that and I think our results would improve if that's what we did. It's one of the reasons why the Mancs have won so frikkin much over the years, with what's often been a very ordinary defence.

I really don't understand what impact people were expecting, or what they'd expect from any manager.

Getting beaten by the scum at the swamp isn't new and interesting. Neither is drawing at Brum. The only fuck up he's made has been a dickhead of a lineup against Citeh, but you know, there were issues.

A fifty fifty first half punctuated with a late soft goal, second half more ofthe same then a wonder goal ... We claw back from 2 nil down against a team who should have been down to ten ... We lose ... Didn't lack fight didn't lack effort. I don't understand slagging the manager for today, it's gratuitous wank to suggest it's his fault. We played a better team away from home and lost grow some balls and get over it.

This sack Roy bullshit agenda is about as knee-jerk and fucking Newcastle as it gets.

Ps I'm a Rafa fan.and you can all get fucked. We are all rucking pissed off but ... Blame Roy ?? For what ?? He should have sent on Messi the dozy cunt..... Fucks sake...
you can't blame the manager for a wonder goal, you can however blame the manager for making defensive subs when the team is in the ascendancy, causing us to defend deeper and deeper, killing any momentum and handing manu an open invitation to attack us (like they need an invitation)
What fucking planet are you on Neil? What was the first sub he made?

Yeah, he's been great. An inspiration. Fgive points in 5 games. Our only victory 1-0 at home against West Brom.

I certainly don't agree that he's an old, budgie-faced mediocrity who shouldn't be anywhere near the job of Liverpool Manager

One thing I certainly wouldn't expect is that kind of surrender. Of course Old Toilet is a tough place to go, which is all the more reason to take your chance of a win there when it presents itself, as it did after Stevie's equaliser.

At least from some? Brendan and Gene maybe. But most of the posters in this thread are (unless I'm being whooshed) perfectly serious. They're also hysterical, classless and boring.

This is exactly why I didn't want Kenny to be caretaker manager. Because, five league matches into the season, having got pretty much the results everyone expected us to get, our manager is being called cowardly, spineless and mediocre.

It's bullshit.

I don't think that's what happened. I think we fought back well and ended up unlucky. I think that Konchesky should have been on the near post for the first. I think Torres gave the ball away under zero pressure ten seconds before that corner. I think Berbatoss scored an unbeliveable goal. I think Carra was at fault for the third. I don't see what Woy did that was so terrible.

I think Roy will be fine.
We've had fucking awful fixtures. And that was Meireles first game.
Onwards and upwards.

Konchesky has had injury issues, he was subbed in his other appearances for the same reason, and Jova? Is that a defensive sub? Who did you expect to step off the bench?

Oh right, I see where this is going.

My fulham mate said that Roy is a training ground manager who works with the team on the ball far more than most and that it took him a few months to make his mark there. I can't see how or why that would be different for anyone, but especially when he's just walked into this squad with these fixtures.

It's what he didn't do that I have trouble with. After 2-2 he failed to keep the team pressing forward, which not only would have given us more chances but would have made it less likely that the Mancs would get their winning one. I'm not one of those who are for dismissing him already, but I don't think he's made the most of what we have yet.

If we have 5 points from the games in december, then I'll give up on roy

Has it been confirmed that konchesky was injured? The other sub to replace meireles with Jove reduced the momentum we had built up through the middle of the park, I'll also add that I've said before that it was more the cautious tactics of dropping deeper to almost defending outside of our penalty box than the personnel. Fact is we drew level and the defended deep after the subs, if people want to argue that point I'll leave it there.
