Top 10 fees this summer
1. De Bruyne
2. Sterling
3. Di Maria
4. Martial
5. Benteke
6. Firmino
7. Kondogbia
8. Vidal
9-11. Arda Turan, Jackson Martinez, Depay
I think the interesting one that isn't on the list is De Gea (presuming he goes) , he's arguably the best player that moved during the summer both in terms of past performance and future potential. Which is an obvious pointer to the fact that goalkeepers are still undervalued (or else it's just evidence that when a player is set on one destination, the selling club gets fucked)
The top fee went on De Bruyne who at age 24 has two good seasons under his belt in the Bundesliga. I don't know why but I'm not the slightest bit worried about City signing him. Will he start ahead of Silva or Sterling , or play with them ? (I wonder how FFP is working for them)
It's baffling to see the more accomplished, younger , Son sign for Spurs for less than half of what De Bruyne cost. He's a player I've thought we should have considered in the past so I'll be watching how he goes.
I get the feeling the Martial and Di Maria fees and moves are at the hands of Mendes, and it baffles me that anyone puts up with his shit.
Martial is 19 years old and has 11 goals in 52 games , in France. That seems like a massive outlay on pure potential.
