Sorry if this has already been posted elsewhere, but the "Sunday Times" carries a report today saying that Statler and Waldorf are prepared to increase the transfer kitty but not to give the money to Rafa, as they consider his transfer dealings have been wasteful.

Interesting if true, especially as far as the club's approach to current negotiations with Rafa is concerned.

what the hell does that mean? benitez has been rubbish and it does matter because we are in the europa league now
 
Unless rich new owners are coming in, which they aren't, this is probably a good move.

Who would trust Benitez with £35M right now?

krissr probably would.
 
Rafa made sure he had control of most things when he signed a new contract.
If this was true he could probably quit and we'd still have to pay him off, ala Keegan at Newcastle.
