Future Liverpool Captain ?

It's his ambition.. only 20... So much more to come from this lad.. Look so assured and confident of his own ability..

If it's Trent's ambition, let's just leave him to work towards it quietly in his own time. Loading this kind of expectation on a young player is never going to help.

Could well be, but "eventually" is the key IMO. Neither he nor we need him burdened with that kind of extra expectation now, IMHO of course.

I think, in 15 years time, when Trent, the world's best ever right back, captain of Liverpool, 28 times league champions, 12 times European champions, there will still be people asking "I wonder if his future is in midfield?"
Bahahaha

Now I'm wondering if we are the league will be contested twice a year.

You silly billy - to get to 28 times champions takes only another 10 wins in the next 15 seasons, and to get 10 12 times Euro champions takes 7.

I was being conservative

I'm looking forward to him increasing the power and accuracy of his shot a little bit more next season, so that strikes like last night's that fizzed just wide of the post start to result in goals. He only scored once this season; he absolutely has potential to get 5-10 goals in all competitions from the full-back position, which would be such an incredible weapon for us.

He has finished the season on a tear in terms of assists BTW, here's all games starting in April:

Southampton (a) - assist
Porto (a) - assist
Chelsea (h)
Porto (h) - assist
Cardiff (a) - assist
Huddersfield (h) - assist
Barcelona (a) - didn't play
Newcastle (a) - 2 assists
Barcelona (h) - 2 assists
Wolves (h) - assist
Spurs 👎

So 10 assists in 10 games in the decisive period of the season, absolutely incredible.

That assist against Barcelona should count as 20 assists. They will be replaying that on whatever device we use to watch media in 2059.

He's already giving boring interviews. So yeah he'll get the armband in a few years
