Trent, Salah and VVD

Let's hope today's announcement is a positive Virgil one and not a negative Trent one.

Hughes is probably still trying to impress Chiesa with his Italian and sweet talk him into am extension instead.

"According to The Athletic, Alexander-Arnold is yet to take a decision on his future, one way or the other. Liverpool continue to push for a new contract with the 25-year-old England international, while Real Madrid have made it clear that they want to sign him. Currently there is no clarity on how things will end they say, and Alexander-Arnold is still in talks with Liverpool.

Recently it had been claimed that Alexander-Arnold had decided not to renew his deal at Anfield, which would lead most to conclude that Real Madrid would be his destination. Out of contract next summer, Alexander-Arnold can pen a contract with Los Blancos in less than a month. He is their top target for the position, as they look to strengthen following Dani Carvajal’s injury."

I’d be surprised if Trent signs a pre-contract agreement - he doesn’t need to - but he’d be crazy not to wait and see if… I mean, I say if, but it’s probably when… Ancelotti gets the boot and who they replace him with.

It's a very open secret that Alonso replaces Ancelloti this summer.

Also he'd be silly not to pen a pre-contract with Madrid. He'd do it sooner rather than later if he's going to do it.

Otherwise Madrid will move on to Option B. They only have a certain amount of non-eu slots.

The stories are already out about their plan b; lots of links to dalot. Standard tactic; leak stories about wanting to sign a less talented player from a club rival. Kind of forces Trent to make a decision

The only issue with Madrid is you don't get credit in the bank. As poor as Madrid have been they could still top La Liga if they win their two games in hand.
How long would he last at Madrid? 1 poor season, you're out. The fans are more impatient than the board

He'll get the time and space he needs to be an absolute wizard attacking wise; I just don't think he'll get the support he needs defensively.

Unlike in previous Real teams, in Camavinga, Valverde and Tchouaméni they have a set of midfielders that are willing and able to do the dirty work so they could actually accommodate someone like TAA if they wanted to utilize him as a more of a "luxury" player.

But they've already got problems up front with trying to fit Mbappe and Vinicius into the same attacking line up without a proper #9.

Where is the evidence of that? Carlo Ancelotti, arguably the most successful manager ever in world football is getting calls to be sacked despite delivering the double last season. Its a horrible club with horrible fans who turn on you after 2 losses.

Maybe because 1 is a manager and the other is a player?

Your argument would hold more weight using Bale as an example.
