Transfer Rumours

Arsenal are among those that have been linked with Fiorentina and Colombia wide man Juan Cuadrado, but his club insist they are yet to receive any offers. However, their sporting director, Daniele Prade, doesn't sound overly optimistic about keeping his man and said in Tuttosport that, "We will do our best to make him stay with us".

They might not quite have lived up to their billing at the World Cup, but Belgians still seem to be all the rage. Marca claims that Atletico Madrid are courting Axel Witsel, the midfield dynamo whose last action in Brazil was to volley a late half-chance over the bar against Argentina.

It says Atleti would like him to complete their lineup in the centre of the park for next term -- and that they're in for his Zenit teammate, left-sided Argentinian player Cristian Ansaldi too. The prognosis? Mixed: Witsel cost Zenit 40 million euros and would not come cheaply this time either, while Ansaldi is said to be settled in Russia and would not be receptive to a proposed loan.

Pato's career has hit the skids; he isn't in the World Cup squad and can be found whiling away his time agonisingly near to the action as a player with Sao Paolo. But is the ex-Milan forward's star back on the rise? Corriere Dello Sport says he is dreaming of a return to Italy -- and there is a chance he might get his wish, with former enemies Inter apparently sniffing around.

Thomas Vermaelen is set to meet with Arsenal to finalise his future, with Manchester United poised to step up their interest. The Red Devils are understood to be very keen on the 28-year-old defender, who has one year left on his contract at the Emirates Stadium.

In typical, "Zidane buying a house on the Wirral" fashion, a private flight has gone into JL Airport this morning, the subject of which is heading to Liverpool FC for transfer talks.

Reports in the Portuguese press claim that Sporting Lisbon strikerIslam Slimani has been targeted by Premier League trio Crystal Palace, West Ham and Newcastle, while Schalke, Mainz andTrabzonspor have also been credited with an interest. The Algeria international impressed during the World Cup and Sporting are said to be holding out for a fee of 10million euros.

The naysaying has all been a smokescreen. It's SANCHEZ !

Arsenal are going to have some team if they sign Draxler, Sanchez AND Balotelli (plus the CB they desperately need).

We were 16/1 for Higuain yesterday and then 11/2 last night and today.

Worth a cheeky fiver?

Yaya Toure has no intention of staying with Manchester City and is open to a move to Chelsea or Liverpool this summer.

Toure has publicly criticised City in recent weeks, firstly alleging that the Citizens failed to acknowledge his birthday and then claiming they denied him an opportunity to spend time with his dying brother. Will City deny both those claims, it is clear that the relationship between club and player remains tense with some suggesting that Toure is agitating for a move or improved terms at the Etihad.

And now reports in France suggest that Toure is determined to force through a move before the start of next season.

While it is thought that PSG are Toure's most likely destination, it has been suggested that Chelsea or Liverpool remain alternative options.

Toure has previously denied that he wants to leave but French publication Le Parisien quote an unnamed Ivory Coast international teammate as saying: "He has accumulated too many grudges against [Manchester City's] leaders and he will not stay with them. "He will do everything to ensure his departure this summer."

Toure signed a new four-year deal with City in April 2013 and it seems unlikely that the Manchester club would sell the midfield titan to a Premier League rival.
It now remains to be seen whether Toure is determined to force through a move, and, if so, whether Chelsea or Liverpool can see off PSG in the race for the 31-year-old.

Liverpool are monitoring the situation of Metz striker Diafra Sakho, along with Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund.

Sakho was prolific in front of goal for Metz last term, bagging 20 goals in Ligue 2 as Les Grenats stormed to promotion by winning the division.
Marseille have been leading the race for Sakho, with Metz having long since accepted that their chances of holding onto the 24-year-old this summer are slim.
Indeed, the club's academy director Denis Schaeffer told Inside Futbol earlier this year that 15 clubs, including English sides, have been packing the stands.

He revealed to us: "Every game, there are around 15 international clubs that come to the matches to see him. English clubs are here."
And according to La Provence, Liverpool, Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund are amongst those clubs.

Sakho is a product of Metz's esteemed youth academy, which counts Robert Pires, Louis Saha, Papiss Cisse, Miralem Pjanic and Emmanuel Adebayor among its graduates. The 24-year-old, who won the Best Player in Ligue 2 award last season, is under contract with Metz until the summer of 2015.

LOL, imagine signing Yaya. It will never happen.

I'd avoid that Metz striker. We can't agree on the one Sakho will have already. Another one would thrown us over the edge.
