Transfer Rumours

I must be the only one who rates Bertrand on here.

Rafa seemed to rate him. Maybe Rodgers sees something aswell..

Given his chance

With injury problems plaguing Cole during the 2012/13 season, Bertrand got his chance under temporary Chelsea boss, Rafa Benitez.

He made a total of 40 appearances for the Blues last season.
In his 19 Premier League appearances, Bertrand earned himself a performance score of 278 on stats website Squawka.

Compare that to Enrique’s 121 in the last campaign and Cissokho’s lowly 20 this season, since joining from Valencia.

The then 23-year-old Bertrand’s record in 2012/13 is fairly impressive; boasting 84 percent pass accuracy, 75 percent shot accuracy, zero defensive errors and creating 12 chances.

In fact, he trumps Enrique in all comparable areas (Enrique created 26 chances, but played 10 more games than Bertrand).

Why is Arse-passage still at the club? Shouldn't he be back in Spain taking about his Liverpool nightmare by now.

I was trying to think of the last one this disappointing.

I think maybe Pennant.
Big difference is that Rogers has actually worked with Bertrand. He should know his precise strengths and weaknesses and must believe he can address the later.

Considering most were also not excited about Moreno, I think Bertrand seems like much less of a risk given the fees involved.

Once again you lot are clearly missing the big picture. We are obviously buying a cheap fullback in order to make sure we've got enough money left in order to sign James Rodríguez.

Given the extraordinary strength in depth of Chelsea, I wouldn't necessarily chalk him off due to his lack of opportunities there. See Sturridge, Lukaku etc...

I haven't seen enough of him to judge, but I'm betting Brendan has.

The only time I can remember seeing Bernard playing a full game was last season on loan at Villa when they drew 2-2 at Anfield.......he played very well that day.

I read this morning that Nani is the crucial cog in a potential Utd deal for Vidal from Juventus.

What an absolute crock of shite!

No sense at all.

Vidal = world class midfielder desired by all.
Nani = shithouse premier league failure desired by few

I very much doubt Juve are so desperate to sign Nani that they're considering him a key aspect of an sale of Vidal. Quoting the Daily Mail isn;t going to convince me.

I don't see it like that mate. Maybe Vidal wants to go, united want to buy him so Juve are making sure they get a player (Nani) thrown in that they have wanted for a while albeit for a different position.

Saying that I hope Vidal stays in Italy.

I doubt they are going to let Vidal go in order to secure Nani rather they are willing to let Vidal for the right price and apparently have been interested in Nani in the past.

But as with most transfer rumours, 90% are completely made up. Especially player swap deals which probably make up 50% of all rumours but 2% of all transfers.

Sky are reporting that Ashley cole will sign a 2yr deal at Roma worth 1.8mill over the 2yrs?! That's under 20k a week?! Wtf. Surely we can bribe the little mercenary with more cash? I'd be happy to give him close to 100k for a couple of years

Waste of time probably. He must know he'd get more money than that here, so it looks to me as though - surprisingly enough - he's decided that's now secondary and he'd rather have his swansong in The Lying Rag.

Haven't been arsed to bother following Man Yoo what with the footballing feast of the World Cup getting all of my attention, but have they signed anyone officially other than Shaw?
