There was pre-season talk on RedCafe of up to 10 leaving. Not much sign of it yet (good) !
So long as we bring in the new players badly needed not that worried if the fringe players get another year.

I've mentioned this before elsewhere but I doubt very much you are going to get the players you really want this Summer/Winter. A lot of players are going to be on the fence about joining a club not in the CL - and they don't care that it's United. In fact we've seen a few say no already and this is the reason United will be releasing/selling less players than they might have otherwise.
I think you will have to go the Liverpool route, bring in some good players, good enough to challenge for the CL places, and secure that CL place with the intention of then flashing the cash for the real stars. There was lots of talk on RedCafe of a £150m kitty .... I'd be surprised if United's net spend was over £80m.
The only other option is to pay insane wages - which will have long term repercussions. Rooney's £300k deal could really come back to bite you because it doesn't matter what your turnover/profit is at the moment, a healthy profit will not be sustainable with a dozen players on £150-300k a week (£140m a year without considering all the other players on the books).
That front 3 could be dynamite ... however, that midfield would leave a lot to be desired defensively ...
Actually I was thinking of those where the players were actually quoted as saying either they definitely were not moving or United were not an option.Think we will end up spending more than that but who knows really.
As for players saying no to us, I'd take every link and failed signing written in the rags with a large pinch of salt. They may have happened but they could be completely made up. But don't disagree some players will reject us this season as we have no CL.
I wasn't referring to this Summer alone, sorry my comments were misleading. I'm referring to the fact that with Shaw (150k) and Rooney (300k) you have now set the scale for the majority of players who would want to join United. So within 2-3 years I can easily see that being the benchmark and a dozen players on your books within those parameters. Can't see how we will end with that many players on those wages. We are losing Vidic, Giggs and Rio who were all on those wages and we only likely to be making 4 new big signings. So wages will edge a little but not that much and certainly easily affordable given we have one of the lowest wages to revenue levels of any top team.
He does that when he only has shite defenders...Maybe he'll go for 3-5-2 like Holland
He does that when he only has shite defenders...
That Chile keeper has signed for Barca.
Fupp offGood post Ryan, Bravo.
Would it be easier for me to change the forum, so it automatically adds (not the war criminal) for you?He plays similar positions for sure.
I was suggesting him as a Lallana replacement target for us.
Perhaps I should set it up so it looks like this,
Dusan Tadic (not the war criminal, unless we are talking about the war criminal, then not the football player)
One would hope contextual knowledge. But that's relying too much on the other person... Perhaps we should implement a colour code systemBut how would we know?
So Red for war criminalYou could write the colours
