Transfer Rumours

A few points to note;

Falcao to Madrid is good news for us. They won't come knocking for Suarez. That only leaves Barca.

When did Zarate join West Ham? He was a great player albeit a bit mental.

I love Herrara as a player. I've made a few threads about him but 36 million is a lot of money with a year on his contract.

No smoke without fire? PSG? Monaco? Are turn to Barca?
[article]The Ivory Coast midfielder slammed City for not allowing him to spend more time with his brother Ibrahim before he died last week in Manchester.

Ibrahim, who was just 28, passed away after losing a battle with cancer.

Now Yaya Toure has discussed his grief with France Football, and he has painted out the Citizens are a cold hearted group of people. Yaya Toure said:

He (Ibrahim) was my confidant, my best friend too.

City wouldn’t give me those few days to spend with my dying brother.

I went to celebrate title in Abu Dhabi while my brother was in bed dying. I regret not insisting more, not getting respect.[/article]

That's a shit move from City if true. Cunts.

On an unrelated note, Rio to QPR looks to be a done deal.

It's not a nice subject to speculate about but I really can't see City forcing him to stay away, although he is probably the star name the big money men would want to meet. Very sad situation.

28 mill for Herrera when you've got Rooney and Mata who can play the nr 10 role.
Hmmm. Herrera can play central aswell but thats a lot of money.

34 mill for Shaw. Insane

Any idea if we are interested in Memphis Depay? The little I have seen of him reminds me of a young C Ronaldo.

I've really liked what little there has been to see at this WC and I'd never heard of him before. Anyone seen anything of him ?

But both are players that will fill big holes in our team.

Or could say "or just like paying £30m for Lallana"

You could but a) we are not going to be paying Lallana 150k a week (if he comes at all), b) we won't be paying £30 (I'd guess £20 plus add-ons and c) he's a little more proven than Shaw. Of course if Shaw works out then your LB position is solid for the next 10 years.

Ha ha Cloggy will hate that .... I used to work with many Dutch and besides hating Germans with a passion they always called the Belgians 'Stomme Belge' !

I am not Dutch!! I just live here.

They do not like being compared to Belgians though. I much prefer the language on Belgian women myself. Less hacking from the back of the throat. Belgium has better food and beer as well. No idea why they think they are stupid.

They also do not like being called fluffy Germans.

I so want a Dutch/German match this World Cup. The hatred is really only about the footy these days.

Bit like the English and the Irish - no basis for it, just racism.

And Chocolate - Fantastic Chocolate ! And Coffee. Whilst I lived in Antwerpen (many many years ago, as a dealer in an underground casino) I would finish the night shift and come out to breakfast on chocolate croissants and coffee whilst watching everyone else going to work. Fun.

My step-son is Belgian so I have to watch where I put my foot/mouth but yes, his partner is Belgian, Blonde and Gorgeous ... and a really nice girl.

4 -3- 3 with
Herrera, Carrick and Rooney....

With

Mata, RVP and Januzaj in front of them.

Not convinced by Rooney in CM but will have to wait and see. I think we will sign another CM, most likely Strootman but not until January. So maybe it will be a stop gap until then

Fair points but I would say

a) True but our wage bill is low relative to our income and with Rio, Vidic and Giggs all off the books this year it will be down substantially. The Glazers are making big profits each year if they make a little less because we have signed new player can't say I really feel that sorry for them.

b) I'm sure out deal will have a similar add on structure.

c) agree always a big risk signing potential like Shaw, it may never be fulfilled.

That front 3 could be dynamite ... however, that midfield would leave a lot to be desired defensively ...

I think shaw would be a great signing, but anything over 30 mill is just absurd for a relatively unproven 18 year old, i cant see you paying that much if you're already spending a decent wedge on herrera, who knows though

Doubt those 2, if they happen, will be the last of the our business.

how much do you reckon you will spend? reckon there'll be any players that will be sold for a decent amount?

A little over £100m but your guess is probably as good as mine.

Sadly we have very few players worth very much.
We could probably get £ 15m for Chicharito but would hate to see him leave as he is a great backup.
After that you are left with Young, Anderson and maybe Nani as potential sales.
To be honest don't think there will be many depatures
