Transfer Rumours

Man Utd have been linked with a move for Dutch international Danny Blind during the summer but Ajax say the club have made "no contact at all" over a possible deal. Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf quote Ajax director of football Marc Overmars saying: There's some rumblings around Daley, some clubs enquired, but there is no concrete offer. And with Manchester United, there is no contact at all.

Danny Blind is 53.

According to Sky Sports Italia, Marco Van Ginkel has turned down the chance of a season-long loan deal with AC Milan and wants to stay and fight for his place at Chelsea.

Whilst I respect that attitude, I can't see it coming off. Jose doesn't develop players.

The endless Sky Sports News poll tweets (on Twitter) get on my nerves, but I'll make an exception in this case:

Just unfollow them. There's not a single SSN news tweet that isn't a regurgitation of information all over twitter for at least an hour.

Danny Blind is 53.

"Louis Van Gaal likes Danny Blind. Age is not a problem. You see Pirlo. You see Di Natale. You see Eto'o - little Jose tells me he is 47. 47! A striker! So age is not a problem. The principle for Louis Van Gaal is if you are old, you can still be good. You have to believe in Louis Van Gaal because if not, you cannot win."

By the way, how unfortunate is Martin Kelly anyway? First he gets back injuries. Then he does his knee in. Then he gets some mental block about playing. Finally he's shipped out to Palace. And the manager that brings him in quits a few days before the season starts.

And then the club appoints the wanker, who will take the club back down again in a hurry, while playing absolutely awful football.

It never rains but pours for the lad. It's time he got a break (erm... figuratively speaking of course).

RUMOUR: Manchester United have reached an agreement with Juventus on star Arturo Vidal say La Gazzetta dello Sport

Woodward: "Hello, my dear brother Gigi!"
Marotta: "Yes, speak? Who is that?"
Woodward: "It's Eddie here, Gigi."
Marotta: "Yes, speak? And you call me Mr. Marotta, okay?"
Woodward: "As you wish, my dear friend. So the purpose of this call, my - "
Marotta: "Yes, speak fast please? I am v-..."
Woodward: "Vidal! Yes, yes! That's what my purpose of this call is. Vidal, my, what a great player you have there!"
Marotta: "No no, I am very busy I mean. But yes, Vidal is wonderful player. The best. You agree?"
Woodward: "Of course, of course. Great, wonderful player. Best there is. I absolutely agree 120%."
Marotta: "Yes, good, good. We agree. Okay, now I rush to Norway for Champions League draw."
Woodward: "Oh yes, yes, Vidal, now he's what this call is about. Now, my dear-..."
Marotta: "Yes, I said we agree that Vidal is great player. Now I go catch plane for draw. We discuss there? Okay?"
Woodward: "Sure, at your con-..."
Marotta: "Wait wait wait... sorry sorry, I make mistake. Your name not appear in the list. I forget that Manchester are not in CL this year... My mistake. So maybe we talk next year?"
Woodward: "Hang on..."

Fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck ! This is exactly what I wanted to happen .. the week after the Transfer Window closes !

Chelsea striker Diego Costa has injured his hamstring and could be out of action for up to six weeks, according to reports in the English press. Costa pulled up sore in training on Wednesday and is in doubt for Saturday's clash away at Everton. Chelsea are waiting for further assessment on the injury before making a call on how long the Brazilian-born Spanish international may be out, with both the Daily Telegraph and The Shite estimating he could miss as much as six weeks of action.
Chelsea's loss of Costa to injury could prove pivotal to a number of clubs as the summer transfer window winds up. The London club may now have to dip back into market for another striker. A move for Monaco's prolific striker Radamel Falcao, who is being courted by Real Madrid, has already been speculated. Fernando Torres' proposed move to AC Milan could also now be in jeopardy as Jose Mourinho's squad scrambles to cover a possible Costa absence.

No loans to Italian teams - haven't we learnt yet ? I don't care if we give them 5 years to pay the debt off, it should still be a full sale (same goes for Lucas).

Liverpool FC boss Brendan Rodgers is eyeing Barcelona midfielder Alex Song as a replacement for Lucas Leiva, according to Squawka .
The former Arsenal man is said to be keen on a return to the Premier League after slipping down the pecking order at the Camp Nou and Liverpool are reportedly ready to make their move.

The 26-year-old could even be available on-loan and which the Reds could favour. Liverpool reportedly are not keen to meet Barcelona's asking price of around £10m.

Excellent !

Reds youngster Jordan Ibe is set to seal a loan move to Derby County later today, that's reported by the Derby Telegraph . The 18-year-old impressed during pre-season for the Reds but with the path to the first team blocked by the likes of Raheem Sterling, Philippe Coutinho, Lazar Markovic and Adam Lallana, Rodgers is willing to let him move out on loan in order to gain first team experience. Andre Wisdom enjoyed a successful spell at Derby last term and the Reds are said to be happy to see Ibe head to the Rams. Steve McClaren's side have beaten off interest from Bolton Wanderers for the winger.

Rodgers could be on the verge of selling Lucas - that's reported by Forza Italian Football. The Brazilian midfielder is out of favour at Anfield and Napoli are said to be close to striking a deal for the 27-year-old. Their manager, Rafael Benitez, was the man who brought Lucas to Anfield from Gremio in 2007 and he is said to be keen to be united with his former player in Italy.

Lucas has made 244 appearance for the Reds since joining for around £5m seven years ago.

BLOODY HELL. Didn't this old hag already retire? The league this season is full of managerial twats. In no particular order:

Mourinho, Van Gaal, Wenger, Warnock, Allardyce, Redknapp, Pardew.

I don't like Lambert and Martinez either. They come across as smug know-it-all's. And Pochettino's going to grow into a twat at Spurs, if he isn't one already. Of course, when Lambert's sacked, we'll add Keane to the twat managers' list.

And then there are the twats on standby waiting for their next job - Sherwood, Moyes, ...

Harsh on Martinez, he seems like a great guy IMO.
