Few people all over this now, seems it could be on. I was really impressed with him. He played some pretty creative, unorthodox balls in attack, a bit of the unpredictable. Not that there are many things we do need, but this could be that bit extra thats the difference.

[article]Liverpool sent a scout to watch Dejan Kulusevski on Sunday, according to FC Inter News, while Manchester United have made a £21.5 million bid for the coveted Parma loanee.

With three goals and five assists to his name already, Kulusevski has been arguably the breakout star in Serie A this season with his Rolls Royce performances intriguing clubs all over Europe.

A tall and rangy playmaker with an eye for a defence-splitting pass, the newly-capped Sweden international has been linked with Arsenal, Wolves and Southampton in the last few weeks with Liverpool the latest club to be added to a substantial list of suitors.

FC Inter News reported that the Premier League leaders were watching Kulusevski during Parma’s narrow 1-0 defeat to AC Milan last weekend, while North West rivals Manchester United have put £21.5 million on the table.

The 19-year-old’s parent club, Champions League-bothering Atalanta, want closer to £30 million for a player who has earned comparisons to Manchester City talisman Kevin de Bruyne for his dynamic style and ability to carve apart an opposition backline with one flick of his boot (Gazzetta dello Sport).

If there is one weakness in Jurgen Klopp’s star-studded squad, it is perhaps a lack of real cutting edge in a rather workmanlike midfield three.

Kulusevski, then, would give Liverpool something a little different in the centre of the park.[/article]

I do wonder if Klopp's signing on is somehow linked to the Sancho move and us trying to give him the best platform to develop his game. Pure speculation of course, but Klopp hinted transfer targets do ask how long the manager is staying, etc.

He had been asked about an extension already and Jurgen was the one sitting on it.

Yeah, club have been trying to get him to sit down for talks for over 12 months or so. They've even bought his house off Rodgers as a little sweetener. I think everybody expected Klopp to do his customary six years and then leave, but him signing on shows the club are looking after his needs and he's clearly not reaching the burn-out phase he did at Dortmund.

Another young left back?
[article]Liverpool are set win the race to sign young Coventry City left-back Sam McCallum ahead of a number of Premier League rivals.

The 19-year-old has established himself as a core part of Coventry's side this season. In his 12 League One appearances since the start of the campaign, he has proven to be one of the most exciting talents outside of the top flight.

A number of Premier League sides have monitored McCallum this season, but 90min has learned that Liverpool are set to win the race to sign him, before allowing him to spend the remainder of the season on loan with Coventry.

Manchester City, Chelsea and Leicester City are just three of 20 sides who have sent scouts to watch the teenager this season, but Liverpool's interest has trumped them all.

Leicester may have felt that they had an advantage in the race to sign him, given McCallum is a graduate of striker Jamie Vardy's V9 Academy, but Liverpool have moved ahead of them and opened talks with the player.

The Reds are not blessed with much depth at left-back, with Andy Robertson their only senior option in the position, but McCallum is seen as a viable backup for the Scot and he could very well become the long-term successor to Robertson.

He is predominantly a left-back, but is also comfortable further up the field as more of a wing-back and he has even played on the right-side of Coventry's defence this season, with his versatility working in his favour in the eyes of scouts.

McCallum only joined Coventry from non-league side Herne Bay in August 2018, but his development has impressed many scouts in the top flight and he is now close to sealing a dream move to one of England's biggest sides.[/article]

Just moved to Coventry last season

[article]Premier League duo Liverpool and Aston Villa have been keeping tabs on German goalkeeper Steven Benda who is currently plying his trade at League Two side Swindon Town, Football League World has been exclusively informed by a source close to the Wiltshire club.

The 21-year-old, on loan from Championship outfit Swansea City, has been putting in a number of eye-catching displays for the League Two table-toppers of late, and this has subsequently prompted admiring glances from teams higher up the football pyramid.

Since making his EFL debut against Plymouth Argyle back in October, Benda has recorded five clean sheets in nine first-team appearances for the Robins this season, in what has been a fine campaign thus far for the young shot-stopper

Benda’s parent club Swansea City will of course have a large say on his future and are likely to be very encouraged by his displays at the County Ground, with him potentially being earmarked as someone who can replace Freddie Woodman when he returns to Newcastle from his loan spell.

As per the source close to the club, the aforementioned Premier League duo have sent scouts to keep tabs on the player and are likely to continue monitoring him into the new year, though no enquiry or transfer bid is expected in the looming January transfer window.

Swindon currently sit top of the League Two table, having amassed 42 points from 21 matches, winning their last seven consecutive league matches.[/article]

Left back is a massive priority... Milner doesn't have the attacking penetration and can be exposed by pacier forwards.

Centre back is also a concern too, has Grobbellar got any of that urine left as he needs to pour some on VVD so he can stay fit for the rest of the season.
