[article]Bournemouth have set their asking price for Arnaut Danjuma this summer with Liverpool one of the clubs interested, according to reports.
The Cherries missed out on promotion back to the Premier League after being beaten by Brentford in the play-offs, condemning them to a second straight season in the Championship.
Danjuma scored 17 and assisted eight goals in all competitions during the 2020-21 campaign, with reports in June saying that his performances had caught the eye of Leicester, Lyon and Wolfsburg.
After joining from Club Brugge in 2019, Danjuma struggled to adjust to life in England, not scoring or assisting any goals in his 14 Premier League appearances.
However, an excellent Championship campaign has made the 24-year-old hot property, and Bournemouth’s failure to be promoted could leave them with little choice but to cash in.
Spanish publication Marca claim that the Cherries are demanding €25m (£21.3m) for their winger and Liverpool are ‘among’ the clubs interested.
Jurgen Klopp is reportedly looking to bring in a new attacker this summer at Liverpool with a number of players like Adama Traore and Federico Chiesa already linked.
The newspaper particularly concentrates on interest from Villarreal in Danjuma, who is said to be ‘first on the list of options’ for the La Liga outfit.
Villarreal have already made an offer of €15m for Danjuma but Bournemouth aren’t willing to accept that for a player they paid €16m for two years ago.
The Championship side have ‘revalued him to the point that several Premier [League] teams have been interested in his services’.
Bournemouth manager Scott Parker admitted a few days ago that there was a “possibility” that Danjuma could leave this summer.
Parker said: “At this moment in time he is our player, like I said last time, if he was fit he would be playing.
