Talksport claiming that Everton will move for Ben White.
God I hope they spend 50 mill + on him. Would be such a Everton move.

It would be a lot of money, but he's quality and would instantly improve them. If he must change clubs I hope he goes to the Arse instead.

Btw is sancho really all that? Scum fans creaming about him I’ve only seen him play for England and looked average.

Him Haaland and Mbappe are the best 3 young players in the world by some stretch, so I'd say yes.

It seems both Arsenal and the Mancs will be spending big this summer, is this because the owners are trying to placate their fans after the ESL debacle? Our owners in comparison came out unscathed
Arsenal spending big, how?? They finished like 930th and didn't even make Europe ffs.

I have a feeling that this will be a long, frustrating season again lads. With lots of finger pointing and I-told-you-sos.

It's especially frustrating because since our CL and Premier League winning seasons we really have done so little to maintain our dominance - when everyone and their mum knows that that is precisely the exact best time to do everything to maintain your dominance. You are the most attractive team in the world. You have great revenue. And we could only get Jota and Konate over two years. (And Konate could still be total shit.)

FSG are treating this like a baseball team where they just let it run it's course and think about a complete rebuild every 5 years or so. It's frustrating the fuck out of me to see other teams always get the desirable players and we have to get the "up-and-coming" or "like-a-new-signings".

What more do we have to do in order to have just a little bit of money to spend? I know nothing about football, but even I can see that we are going to be champions league qualification strugglers again.

Probably right but we've always done it the hard way, our morals have never been to outspent the rest to compete....I honestly don't think our revenue is as great as you think when you factor in costs to redevelop the stadium, new training grounds, player wages & even more so now taking into account we've had next to nothing come in for tickets.

But I say let's wait until the window closes and then we can rate the transfer activity.

I too have only seen him play for England and he has yet to put in a good performance. The standard of the German league is not great at present and in recent seasons Havertz*, Keita, Werner, Pulisic, Joelinton, Haller, Mhkytarian etc have all failed to impress after big money deals. Sancho could prove to be a great signing and will certainly be better than Daniel James but there's a decent chance he'll be a dud.

*I know Chelsea won the CL and Havertz scored the winner but his overall displays have not been overly impressive (although better than Werners)

What annoys me the most, we only have Klopp for 3 more seasons max as per contract and sabatical. No idea what joker we may end up with after him but if Klopp is getting all the backing behind the scenes this summer then fine but if not, we have thrown away the best gift we have had as a manager to challenge at the top I can remember ever over the last year.
Yes, we are in a rush...

FSG will do all they dam can to keep Klopp for longer, if Klopp decides he's wants a break then I'm sure he'll put in a word to the owners who he thinks we should appoint as his successor.

To be fair, we tend to make some signings from nowhere these days. No one knew about Jota until a day before it happened. I remember Fabinho was completely out of the blue. Hmm, I'm trying to think of examples, and remembering in the process just how little we've done in the last couple of years.

Still time for us to pull off a couple of big surprises out of nowhere.

But yes, seeing United and City continually pull the big names is depressing.

And yes, if we don't spend reasonably big, and have another shite season, pressure on FSG will be huge. Hopefully.

We need a midfielder and a striker. I have pretty high hopes for Elliott and that he can contribute in some way this season, so not to worried about the wide positions. But the other two, a must.

good pick up for them ...
They'll be a good outfit next year - probably be top 4 until last few weeks of the season again.

Just confirmed signing of Soumare too. Not only have they strengthened in the required areas, they have done so nice and early. Without CL football to offer, too.

My wish list would be a new striker, a wide player and a cover RB. (get rid of Neco)

Hysaj on a free, we should be all over that...this is a guy Chelsea tried to sign for 40m few years ago.

I like how you all think that in today's economy, we can still go out and go on a shopping spree. Yes, that's right - the football world is immune to the rona virus, cos everyone's in a safe football bubble.

You all do realize that our owners don't own oil rigs, do you ?
