[article]Liverpool have rebuffed a £7million offer for Nat Phillips from an unnamed Premier League club, according to reports. The towering centre-back, who has earned the nickname 'the Bolton Baresi' in some quarters courtesy of his heroic performances last season, is free to leave Anfield this month at the right price.[/article]
If there's any truth to this rumour, that's just some fucking waste of time bid

[article]
Jurgen Klopp is ready to step up his interest in Villarreal winger Arnaut Danjuma.
Spanish media outlet Fichajes claims that Liverpool are preparing at £38 million bid this month.

Neco Williams apparently wants to leave.

Nat Phillips again in the shop window

Divock Origi wanted by Lazio apparently.

That'll go towards some contract renewal... they aren't cheap you know.

What did we expect to happen with Nat?

Not playing, us eager to sell and talk everywhere that we’d let him go cheap as a thank you or something.... not exactly how you pump up a players value, is it??

We should be out their banging on about how fucking good he is and essential he is to squad depth for one of Europe’s Elite teams and how much of an asset he’d be to every team in the history of football should someone decide to bid a substantially high enough fee for us to consider parting with this behemoth of a defender!!!

I don't know how Raphinha works for us. He plays RW exclusively, and his entire game is predicated on cutting in and using his left foot.

Unless we're selling Salah or moving him to the center, Raphinha would be an odd fit.

Diaz or Danjuma might make more sense as long term Mane replacements. Or perhaps we should try and get somebody like Jonathan David as our long term no. 9 and use Jota as the LW.

What’s the stats like on Diaz?
Only seen him a few times and wasn’t that impressed on those occasions.
Any star maps out there?

Raphinha played as a left winger in Portugal and can be used there as well. Salah might see a move more centrally in the latter stages of his career for all that we know. But I'm not a fan of making moves internally in the team to accommodate new players if its not needed yet.
If Raphinha isnt suited for a role on the left now or central then he's obviously not the right player. But that is up to Edwards, Klopp and co.

Diaz is the one I'd really want us to sign. He has impressed greatly in Portugal and in the Champions League. 12 goals in 15 league games this season from the left wing. Only missed 4 games with injury in his time at Porto, and having the ability to stay fit is something that we need.

I named Danjuma as a Klopp signing when he left Bournemouth, and Villareal bought him for 23 mill euros. Would feel a bit shit paying double that now only a year after, but he has impressed as well. Lacks a bit in his general play and game intelligence for me, but has all the tools to improve under Klopp.

Diaz is the one.

First time I watched him properly was at last year's Copa America, for some reason I had a keen interest in the competition this time idk why since it was all behind closed doors....maybe because it was late night into early morning & all on the BBC Iplayer.

For me he was 1 of the star players of the tournament....so skillful, very quick and direct..likes to shoot.

Raphinha has prem experience, Diaz is coming from a weak league, and at €70m, its a huge gamble, Felix cost AM €100m and hasn't exactly set the world alight. Adama Troare s supposedly available for £18m. Thats a good squad option.

Newcastle are interested in Origi, 7 mill £. According to the Telegraph we are willing to let him go for that fee.

Brilliant, Trent can play up front anyway if required anyway. 7 million is a huge amount at this stage of the season especially if we can use that money to sign someone else.
Sounds like a plan…

Origi has played 393 minutes though. Not sure we'd miss him that much but yeah wouldnt sell him without someone coming in.

Think we have the option to extend it with 12 months. Considering his wages are pretty big I'd imagine 7 mill sounds ok.

Course we would miss him.
He’s capable of coming on and scoring important goals. That’s invaluable mid season.
You don’t sell something like that midway through the season for 7 million.
I thought he was done last season but looks refreshed season and a fanastic alternative option.
It’s insane.
Sell someone else before him, I would even consider Bobby, Ox, Minamino, Neco etc.

Who do we plan playing upfront in Jan.
7million is nothing for keeping him for 6 months that may save our season.
This is getting quiet pathetic now.

If there is a 1 year option, exercise it. He is a clutch player and could be worth more than £7m if we don't buy alternative

A few details on reported #LFC interest in Luis Diaz. Porto attacker is highly-rated but not on the agenda currently. Asking price (£60m plus) is too high for someone who would be back-up.
