You just need the papers to be registered before the deadline mate. Can do medical later

They have Zabaleta aswell. Buying Javi Garcia also reeks of just buying for the sake of it imho.

Why do Citeh need Maicon when they already have a better/younger version of Maicon in Richards??

Richards is an average defender. He doesnt fit in any position really and hasnt under successive managers. On the other hadn Maicon was an exceptional wingback, he was so good he kept Dani Alves out of the Brazillian team. He is on the way down now but he still understands the position and tactics even if has lost a yard of pace, Richards is another Henderson type player and one we should be a million miles away from

Their best player at the olympics but cant see it happening - how is he going to get here from Brazil by 11pm for starters

Taken from Jim White's Wikipedia page.

"JIm White is best known for his round-the-clock presenting marathon on Transfer Deadline Day. The day, August 31st, is affectionately known as Jim White day. What is less well known is how Sky Sports News actually gets the latest transfer news to Mr White. There is a complex and vast underground system of string that connects every british football ground to every other british football ground. At the end of every piece of string is a a paper cup. Sky Sports News hires an army of dwarves to man each paper cup. When the Sky Sports News presenter above ground hears of any hot transfer gossip, he taps out the relevant information in morse code onto the floor. The dwarf hears this, and promptly uses the cup and string device to communicate the news into a funnel that leads directly into Jim White's left ear."
