In almost every sport, the key to success is high quality player recruitment year in and year out. Coaching and management are significantly less important. As a club, we've failed spectacularly to grasp this concept.

Other than Klopp, no one in the management (TC included) has football experience at top level.

FSG's appointments (bar Klopp) have been appalling. Thought the appointment of a DoF and Ian Ayre's replacement will improve things but they just did their usual promote from within act or bring in someone without relevant experience/ restricted influence.

One thing's for sure, the problem goes beyond the manager (and players).
