I'm blaming Mignolet for the 3rd. We had 6 defenders against 2 attackers. Spurs were only concerned about not giving an equalizer away on the break. Mignolet should have been out to catch what really was a poor freekick. He's a fucking disaster. Comes out when he shouldn't and stays on his line when he should.
It was 100% Matip's fault. The free kick was sailing out for a goal kick with none of their players anywhere near it, so he could have let the ball go if he was aware of the play around him. Even then, if he was not sure, why for the love of God does he not just head the ball out for a corner? It was past the 2 minutes of injury time so why take risks in that situation? Shocking by Matip.
Then again, if Can had not been so indecisive and lost the ball when we were on the attack in what should have been the last action of the 1st half none of this would have happened.
But its always going to be when you're running backwards - and as Sky pointed out, nobody had come forward for Spurs so we didn't need to set up so far out.
Grujic did pretty well when he came on. At the moment I would love to see him and Woodburn drafted in to the side here and there to freshen up the team rather than relying on the same losers.
