This is weird I had a dream the cunt scored in the champions league final last night 🙁

I can still feel the drop in my stomach.
I also had a dream with a footballer in it last night.

Tobias Funke from Arrested Development was serving a platter of sausage rolls to some people. Due to some kind of typical Tobias style confusion Stevie G arrived at the same location with a film crew to demonstrate a new masturbation aid that he had been sponsored to plug and jizzed over the sausage rolls.

Fucking weird dream, Stevie G seemed pretty pleased with himself though.

Have you been drinking the toilet duck again?

I still don't know what to do with his pic. It kinda holds the room together.
i gave my canvas Torres pic to a charity shop..

Btw he should be dropped an replaced by sturridge!

Meireles could be good for Torres.

He's nowhere near as good as Gerrard, but he's very good at creating space and Torres can only benefit from that.

Strongly disagree with that Suarez comparison. An in-form Torres will get you more goals, but Suarez has already shown he has the better all-round game.
An inform Torres scored us three hatricks in three home games, and inform Torres scored us 33 goals in one season. Take your rose tinted specs off, Suarez is a fantastic, magnificent and magical player, but he has not matched up to Torres' level when he was at his best yet, not that I don't think he will, but he's got to prove that yet.
What rose tinted spectacles? He basically said they were incomparable: Torres will get you more goals but Suarez has a better all round game. Which is just well, fucking obvious. They're different types of player. One is a natural goalscorer, the other is more creative and has more in his locker, even if it will no doubt be sacrificed a touch in the goal tally.
I don't think Torres is a 'natural goalscorer' - When he was at Atleti, he struggled to hit 15 goals a season - something Kun (and even Forlan) were doing every year. I think the system and 'everything' was in perfect line for him for those 2 years where he was just phenomenal, world class and then some. I'll be amazed if he ever gets 20 league goals again - even if he ends up at Barca or Real (doubtful).

I think the A.Madrid team they played in was better than the one Torres played in.
I guess, but this Chelsea team is good (and was very good when he joined last year) and he's hit 1 goal ... I just think everything was 'aligned' right for two seasons for him to really maximize all his talent, but going by what we've seen with Atleti, Chelsea and Spain -> I just don't see him as a great goalscorer.

Fuck Torres, we got very lucky in managing to get 50 million for him...I think one of 2 things is happening, he has either lost his motivation and desire that he had to get him to the top or the injuries he sustained whilst at Liverpool has taken away his main asset(pace) meaning he cannot get ahead of his markers anymore meaning he will never reach the heights he did for us...
Fuck him..

He was an excellent technically good and strong brave pace merchant....

Then he did his hamstrings....

Then again...

His decline also coincided with our own and we sold him just before anyone noticed he was truly fucked.

Excellent business.

As for the man himself, I personally think he just needs to adjust his game a little to compensate for losing that half a yard of pace he so relied on.

He has a shitload of other attributes that mean he can make it, but he's never had to adjust to relying on them without pace. Now he does, & at a time where the supply is virtually non-existent. Seriously, at Chelsea they are not feeding him the ball properly, not at all, which is playing a big part.

He's overdue another injury.
Now he's been dumped from spain he'll never get one now!

I think it's all mental, he started to look half decent again for two or three games before he stabbed us in the back. Rafa built the team around him and he hasn't got used to being a smaller cog in the machine.

He likes the lime light and being the BIG FUCKIN I AM doesn't like other blerts near him when he's about to score cos it puts him off. He's too fucking thick to change his game.

An if Boarse drops him then his dummy will get volleyed raaa out the pram.

Good. He's a cunt.

With a £50 million outlay on him I think AVB will be forced to play Torres, despite what he says. Mourhino had to play Shevchenko almost every week and I don't see AVB standing up to Roman.

I think Rosco has it nailed when he compared Torres to Fowler & Owen. I think he is on a slippery slope.

He will always be a dangerous forward, it's silly to think he's past it.

He'll score 14 goals in the prem this season and next season will be his last for chelsea as he leaves for Italy/spain

We should have asked for him in the Meireles deal. I'm convinced he realised he made a huge mistake and is desperate to return.

True facts right there.

i think he's a mercenary cunt who doesn't care who he fucks over.

*shrugs*

all about interpretation isn't it

His injury problems seem to have sapped his confidence and he doesn't look as if he's enjoying his football.

He needs to be out of the spotlight to regain his touch, probably with a lesser club who would play to his strengths rather than a top club who expect him to adapt.
If he has a poor season I can see him returning to Spain.
Well the question is the same for you and Jexy .... who the hell could afford to buy him, because Chelsea won't give him away and neither Barca nor Real would want him ? It's sink or swim at Chelsea.

I'm so proud that with the biggest ever transfer between two English clubs we sold a rival a fucking turkey.

*beams*

I had a dream about Torres last night.

He'd already moved to Chelsea, but was at Stevie's house, just hanging out.

For some reason, Stevie's house was a typical 3-bedroom suburban, Brookie-type place.

Anyway, there were a load of Stevie's family there and me (fuck knows what I was doing there).

I kept trying to engage Torres in conversation, but he wasn't having it.

I was getting increasingly wound up, but left him to it, lest I should bitch-slap him and get kicked out.

I played with the family dog, a fluffy little Terrier of some type (didn't know it's name).

Anyhow, I was staying the night and decided to stay in when everyone else went out for dinner.

I sat and watched tv and the dog crashed on another seat.

The dog started mumbling to itself in a Scottish accent !

No-one believed me (about the talking doggie) not even Stevie.

Maybe the dream was really about the dog ?

Will Torres beat Shevchenko's goal tally when he played with Chelsea....

Sheva - 9 goals for 37 matches
Torres - 1 goal in 17 matches so far.

This is something.

I think Vlad has a point, and I think maybe he does see the move as an error. Maybe until he starts scoring again. Great deal for us though.

It's great to have a club curse though "Betray us, and your career will fall apart"...

Only on SCM could you have a Robbie Burns quote in a Torres thread. Excellent.
And it wasn't even the strangest thing in the thread.

as i've always said, dreams are what happen while you're making other plans with a talking dog.
