My daughter could sing it aged three. She still can't sing the Suarez song properly FFS.

My daughter wanted to and then started to sing that song the other day. She hasn't left her bedroom since. She was able to sing since she could talk. She doesn't understand well enough why Daddy gets upset at his name.

She does love Luis Suarez and Steven Gerard and the player who plays in a different colour. I might let her out just for that.

Suarez continuing to work hard on the pitch isn't really an accolade, it (was) his job. It's hardly a reason alone to keep (and I'm not suggesting you're saying it was the only reason by the way) to keep a striker who wanted away so badly.

People have short memories here. Suarez could not have tried any fucking harder to get away from us - I'd say he put far more effort into that than Torres too - and the disrespect he showed to the club, his manager, and the fans last summer was incredible.

But, people move on I guess.

It's neither here nor there if we think it's part of his job description. The fact remains that many players down tools when they're agitating for a move and we know from the likes of Carra that this what Torres pretty much did.

You asked what the difference between Suarez and Torres is in terms of wanting a move away and that's it. A fairly significant difference in my opinion.

As for making excuses for both of them, yeah. But then on a personal level I don't really care that much what the players do off the pitch if they're performing on it.

I watched some of that LFC TV channel yesterday before I flew out, and it was showing some footage of him back in the day. I'd almost forgotten how outrageously good he was. There was a spell of 2-3 years where he was the best striker on the planet.

Not disputing his cuntishnes in the slightest like, but back in the day the boy could play.

Yeah I agree, I fucking Loved Torres he was exceptionally good. His injuries mainly came playing for Spain which is ironic because they never really gave a fuck about him as a player in their system. I also think he had lost his pace before we sold him but none of us wanted to admit it and said nothing.... 50M for a crock... it was just... too traitorous...

I do feel sorry for him that it turned out the way it did but he chose Chelsea, if he had gone abroad it would have been much easier to accept and he could have reserved some residual affection for the great games he undoubtedly gave us.

I'm pretty much neutral about him. One day after his career is done he'll be a guest pundit up on TV I bet he'll admit he was a Liverpool man and Liverpool was his best days etc.... trouble is it'll be too late.
