Doubt full with a calf strain according to Sky Sports KHL.

Cheers mate.

It would definitely boost our chances if the baldy waiter (?) were ruled out.

If you had to choose, would you rather Gerrard or Torres fit for Sunday?
No contest we can just about get by without Gerrard, but without someone that looks like a forward up front we are toothless
While I agree with you about being toothless up front without Torres, not having Gerrard running through the middle leaves us with a wider gap than Courtney Love.

What's Igor Biscan up to these days?
Igor?

Torres.

Stevie very rarely puts in a performance against the mancs.

I don't think so Vlad. We've all seen the 'frustrated Torres' games when he gets no service and ends up sulking for most of the game, the fear is if we get dominated in midfield, which if we have Lucas and Mascherano with Benayoun dropping deep from the Gerrard role, we probably will, which would leave Torres isolated and ineffective anyway.

I agree with LadyNeets on this. I'd choose Gerrard.
Torres will be even more isolated without Gerrard.
Using the argument that Torres would be isolated without Gerrard as justification for playing Gerrard instead of Torres, doesn't really work.

:🙂 yeah true. Well I mean the striker will be very isolated without Gerrard.

Easy, rather have Torres because we have much better back up for Gerrard than we do for Torres. Benayoun shines in the hole. If he got a run there I'd be confident of a mighty impressive return.

Torres was isolated against 'em last season as well - then he dicked all over Vidic and the game was won.

Even if we had both up front, they'd be isolated because the midfield is fucking shit. I'd go with Torres... Gerrard has not really clicked into gear yet this season. Nando, even if he's having an off day, will at least stretch their defence a little.

Is the right answer, although "much better back up" might change to "some back up"

I'm pretty sure Reira is out with a hamstring injury.

That time when Torres insisted he was fine and then he hobbled off in the first half...that's haunting me. I just hope they're REALLY sure if they play him this time.

we need yossi to be playing behind torres

reina
johnson carra agger aurelio
masch lucas
kuyt yossi babel
torres

this is the best we lineup we could play
I agree. The coward in me says play insua and aurelio down the left, but fuck it its shit or bust at this stage, lets just get out there and get int'l em!

I would HATE to see Babel at the LWF role, its a disaster. If he plays he plays RWF, you put Yossi out left (cause i would be even more scared to Kuyt on the left side) and Kuyt in the center. But thats just a disaster anyway. A complete lack of balance. We might need a 4-4-2 here.

I don't see it that way. Aurelio offers more than Babel, whichever way you look at it.

Babel's had ample opportunity to prove himself against sub-standard opposition and looked out of his depth. There's no reason to assume he'll be any better against the best team in the league.

He has done so little the past 2 years I can't even disagree, The rapper needs a new home and we need a much more effective pacey forward.
